It is difficult to imagine a more spectacular setting for an African
Safari Lodge - the lodge is located on the northern shore
of Lake Manyara, only few kilometers from the town of Mto wa Mbu.
The layout of
the lodge is a tribute to indigenous architectural traditions.
Beyond the superb standards of service offered, there is a spirit
of tranquility that prevails... Skip and Kelly, the managers, are
welcoming you with warm hospitality.
The lodge consits
of 9 tented thatched chalets, all on suite and
1 tented-thatched luxury honeymoon suite. Swimming
pool, bar, spacious lounge, dining room, all over looking Lake Manyara,
and the land of the Maasai People. Traditional dance presentations
are held every night.
Some of the
activities are the normal game drives in Lake Manyara National Park,
bycicle tours, cultural walks, bird watching or just relaxing on
the lodges' own pool!
The extraordinary
bird life has made this place world renowned among
ornitologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingoes
and great birds of prey.
The mornings and sunsets are just one of the awesome sights, flamingoes
on the lake providing a spectacular reflection from the morning
sunrise.
- Boma Walks- amongst the masai bomas who live
just nearby are very exciting. You will get an idea of the local
cultures, and life of the Maasai tribe. One will indeed see some
game during "boma walks" as our lodge is located in an
area with very little human disturbance.
