Unguja Resort, Kizimkazi

Located at Kizimkazi, at the northern tip of Zanzibar, Unguja Resort lies in beautiful garden with old mango and baobab trees where many indigenous plants find their home. The rare Red Colobus monkeys often come and play.

The hotel boasts only ten spacious private bungalows with private seaview terraces from where you can watch sunrise and sunset and local fishermen sailing the Indian Ocean. The bungalows are beautifully decorated in Zanzibar style, with ensuite bathrooms (open roofed!), mosquito nets, ceiling fans, walk-in wardrobe, and private safety boxes.

There is a free-form swimming pool in the middle of the tropical garden, where you can relax while enjoying the services from the bar and restaurant. The pool is also used for the beginner divers.

The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef makes use of many local Zanzibar ingredients such as fresh seafood and exotic spices.

A private barbeque lunch on one of the small deserted islands near the southern coast can be organized for you.
