My wife and I had a wonderful safari in Tanzania for 7 nights. We visited Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Everything was terrific, many animals and a lot of surprises. The lodges are wonderful, clean and the staff very professional. Our guide, mr. Douglas, was great, kind and we feel lucky we met him. A big thanks also to Ms. Corina, that organized our tour.

We booked our safari at Mikumi through Tanzania Adventure having done a previous safari through them and were not disappointed. The pick up and drop off was smooth and above all the safari was stunning. Corina was most helpful and highly recommended.

Stayed 4 nights in November 2014. We were in Zanzibar for a friend’s wedding and wanted to do a safari, our first ever. TA organised everything for us: flights from Zanzibar to Selous, 4 night stay at Selous and return flight frmo Selous to Dar es Salaam. We stayed at Lake Manze, a camp that aims to have low environmental impact. It was wonderful, we were collected from the airstrip by jeep, greeted by two smiling members of the camp team. Meals were great, freshly prepared food and they catered especially for our dietary requirements (vegetaraian). We did a couple of game drives each day and a boat trip. You really are in the heart of the action. Corina and the TA arrnaged every little detail for us over email so all we had to do on arrival was enjoy it! Corina and TA are very responsive and answered all of my queries promptly. I paid the full amount using international bank transfer which was convenient. I would highly recommend TA and the experience they arranged for us at Selous game reserve.

We searched tour companies on the internet for our safari and decided to book with Tanzania Adventure. It was definitely a great choice! From the beginning, Leonie was wonderful. She answered all of our questions promptly and gave us her opinion on what would be the best safari for us. Even the night before we arrived, she texted us to ensure that we had received all of our information. Upon arrival, Charles picked us up and welcomed us to Tanzania. He was great! Before we left on safari, Corina happened to be at the same hotel for a wedding and she stopped by to introduce herself and ensure everything was going smoothly. Edward was our safari guide and we felt very lucky to have him! He was funny, extremely knowledgeable and made our safari an all around wonderful experience. Like others have said, it always feels a little scary to wire transfer your money to the unknown; however, all was well! We feel extremely comfortable recommending Tanzania Adventure to others based on our experience. Ask for Edward!

Dear Leonie and Corina,I’m writing to tell you how much I enjoyed my trip to Tanzania in early October with the ARCE group from Cairo, so competently hosted by Tanzania Adventure. The whole trip was smoothly and efficiently organized from start to finish, with many extra and unexpected touches, and it really was for me the holiday of a lifetime. As I mentioned to Leonie in Zanzibar, I studied Swahili for two years at university in England, but never had the chance to visit East Africa until now, 35 years later. What a shame I had forgotten all my Swahili by the time I got to Tanzania! I compiled two online albums of photographs, and shared them with my family and friends, along with a brief account, which I thought you might be interested to read:My trip to Tanzania in early October was the holiday I’ve been dreaming about since I was a child. Just to see the extraordinary wildlife of East Africa in its natural habitat, every creature doing its own thing, no bars, no fences, has been a lifelong ambition that began with walks in the woods of Toddington with Dad, when he taught me how to appreciate the natural environment, how to observe the animals and birds and their behavior, trails, signs, and calls.I was looking forward to seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras in East Africa, but what surprised me was the abundance and variety of bird life: I thought we might see a few vultures and an ostrich or two, but I hadn’t expected to see so many interesting and colorful smaller birds. My final tally was 79 species of birds (from firefinch to ostrich), 33 mammals (from unstriped grass mouse to elephant), and 3 reptiles (Nile monitor, Nile crocodile, and red-headed agama). We were extremely lucky to see a lone black rhinoceros, which is critically endangered. We saw no high drama, but we did watch a pair of Egyptian geese chase off a Nile monitor and a herd of wildebeest close ranks and headbutt three hyenas. And not only did we see all of the Big Five, we also saw one of the Small Five, all of the Ugly Five, and all of the Beautiful Five. Checklists (and lists of the Fives) attached. We flew into Kilimanjaro Airport and spent the first night at the Ngare Sero Lodge, where colobus monkeys with huge white brushes foraged in the trees around the garden edge, and three hundred sacred ibises flew in at dusk to roost in the trees around the lake. The next day we drove to Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and its elephants, and we spent the night at the Endoro Lodge, where we went on an early-morning birdwatching walk with Hendry, who introduced us to the tropical boubou (with its seven different calls), the bronze sunbird, several weavers, and the rare and shy tambourine dove. From there we drove to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera: up to the rim, then down into what feels like a lost world, a self-contained ecosystem where even the wildebeest don’t migrate. We stayed that night at the Sopa Lodge, back up on the rim, expecting a magnificent view in the morning over the crater, but woke instead to thick fog, rain, and wind, which didn’t clear until we were down off the back of the crater on our way to Serengeti. We stopped on the way to visit a Masai village. This felt somewhat voyeuristic but we paid for the privilege, so that seemed fair enough. It must be hard making a living from herding cattle in a land full of dangerous animals, so it’s probably a good thing that groups of tourists pay $10 a head for half an hour of Masai culture. Naabi Hill marks the entrance to the Serengeti from the east; once down on the plain it’s vast — and unbelievably rich with wildlife. We spent two nights and parts of three days in the Serengeti, and saw only a small part of it, but we were well rewarded: herds of zebra and wildebeest in their thousands; great long single-file lines of running wildebeest on migration (they had started early, fooled by early rains); hippopotamuses in mud, glorious mud; lions sleeping on rocky outcrops and mating in the grass; secretarybirds striding across the plain; weavers, plovers, eagles, avocets, and stilts. We spent both nights under canvas in the Serengeti Heritage Camp, in tents with en suite bathrooms because it was dangerous to go outside at night, with lions and hyenas on the prowl. We had an excellent guide and driver, Amini, who could spot even the smallest or best camouflaged animals and birds at a distance while negotiating the potholed dust tracks, then stop the car in just the best position for us to look through binoculars or take photographs from the windows or the open roof. He knew most of the species at a glance, or was able to identify a doubtful one by flipping quickly through his comprehensive bird and animal field guides. He also kept in touch with other drivers by radio, so that if someone else spotted something interesting he could head off there immediately. I also had a very good book with me, the National Audubon Society’s _Field Guide to African Wildlife_, which I had come across by chance at Addis Ababa Airport: it helped me identify a lot of species myself. The second part of the trip was a complete contrast: two short flights in 12-seater planes and much hanging about at small airfields took us to Stonetown on Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago. Here we stayed two nights at the Mbweni Ruins Hotel, and were immersed in the Arab/Swahili culture and history of the East African coast: the old narrow streets of Stonetown, the ruined palaces of the Omani sultans, taarab music in a nineteenth-century tradition straight from Egypt but sung in Swahili, the old slave market under the Anglican cathedral, the markets, the souvenir shops. A visit to some spice gardens was particularly interesting, where we saw how nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, cloves, etc. grow. The party piece there was a young man climbing up a 25-meter coconut palm, aided only by a hobble around his ankles, whooping, singing, and performing acrobatics as he went, to cut and throw down coconuts for us to drink. Apparently, most young Zanzibari men climb coconut palms, but by law they’re not allowed to do it beyond the age of 24. Leonie, Corina: Many thanks indeed for giving us such a wonderful experience in Tanzania. I’d be grateful if you could also pass on my thanks and great appreciation to Amini: I don’t think we could have had a better guide in the game reserves. With all best wishes, Neil

Tanzania adventure are an excellent safari company- we did 4 different safaris in our time in East Africa and this is the only company I feel very comfortable recommending. The professionalism of Corina who organised everything for us was outstanding and our guide Melky made us feel really comfortable and was very informative. We saw everything we wanted to see and much more. If you are going to Tanzania and want a great experience- go with this company. We couldn’t believe the gorgeous hotels we got to stay in for the price we paid. Highly recommended!

Thank you for the email, we had a brilliant time on the trip. We were very impressed with the professionalism and level of service we received, all the way from our contact with yourself through to our amazing driver (our favourite from the 5 safaris we have done over the last 8 weeks!). We will certainly be recommending you, I’m hoping my father will book with you soon. Is there any discount for recommendations? All the best, Vicky

Thank you to Corina and Emmanuel for making my first trip to Africa an unforgettable experience. Corina planned our itinerary and was extremely professional throughout our correspondence. I could not have asked for a better trip organiser as she made the whole experience enjoyable and exciting. Emmanuel was our guide for the two day safari to Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It was obvious that Emmanuel is well educated and had a passion for wildlife and nature in general. I learnt a lot from the two days we spent with him and I am now eager to return to Africa to explore more of its outstanding national parks! I love looking at the photos I took whilst on safari and wish I could have a job like Emmanuel! Huge thanks to Tanzania Adventure.

I found Tanzania Adventures by accident on the internet and never having dealt with them before, I was scared and unsure about what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! There were no hiccups. Itinerary was well planned and executed. My father required special treatment due to a medical condition and at every lodge we stayed, without having to ask, they informed us that they were aware of it and that it was catered for.Lodges were off the beaten track and unique but of a really high standard. Food was generally great although we had to get used to no meat served with breakfast at some lodges. Our driver, Melky, was knowledgeable, friendly and pleasant to be around.I can recommend Tanzania Adventures in general and Melky in particular, to all prospective visitors to Tanzania.

Tanzania adventure was recomended by visa councierge, once I was finding tricky to get a travel agency in Africa. Their service was flawless since the begging, and they certainly done more than they were supposed to (Corina and Charles kindly helped me to rescue my luggage that was lost in the flight from São Paulo to Dar es Salam). Our driver in the safari, Julius, was fun and really knew the way around the parks. He speaks English well and made our days in the savannah quite pleasant. After 6 safari days, we went to Zanzibar passing thru spice tour and Stonetown.

Dear Corina, Thanks. Our return trip was as smooth as the outbound journey, and as smooth as our whole holiday. We really did enjoy our experience in Tanzania and the circuit proposed was definitely the right way round: starting in Arusha then moving across the parks until we reached the Serengeti; 5 days of beach and diving in Zanzibar, then the last day in Stone Town. So thanks again for your organisation and advice on the circuit. I promise to take some time to fill out the feedback form. The success of our safari was also in a large part due to our gentle, knowledgeable, flexible and good-humoured guide, Ameini, so again a very big thanks to him. I hope we will be able to come back to Tanzania in a not-too-distant future, and if so, we will be contacting you.

Tanzania is a beautiful country. We learnt a lot and had a lot of fun. Itinerary suggested by Corine was great and worked out well. Accommodation was first class, unique and different. We experienced Tanzanian culture and tradition through the staff and architecture of the different places we stayed at, which was really special. Our driver, Melky was particularly knowledgeable, friendly and willing to accommodate our needs. We parted as friends and we were sad to leave him behind. Melky is really great!

Just back from a 2 week safari and Corina did a great job in giving us a wonderful vacation.Like others have mentioned it is a leap of faith sending a wire transfer!! would anyone be at the airport?it the company legit? But don’t worry all was great. Our name was on a board at JRO ,the hotels were tremendous,we had a range from lodges to tented camps to luxury lodges to large hotels to resorts and a small hotel the last 2 being in Zanzibar.Saw the big five and a showdown between 6 lions and a herd of elephants. The elephants won!!All transfers were on time including our flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar. The tours in Zanzibar were very good as well.Tanzania Adventure do an excellent job and don’t be scared to book directly with them .Safari first, relax in Zanzibar next you will need it, as the roads in Tanzania and in all the parks are a bit rough and then end it in Stonetown singing We are The Champions outside Freddy Mercury’s house in Stonetown. Thanks TA the 4 of us had a wonderful safari experience.

We spent three delightful days to the companie of remarkable and hospitable friends from Tanzania Adventure 18-20 January 2014. After our arrival in the Arusha airport we were met by the manager of agency Alex and guide Laizer. Alex told us in details about our forthcoming travel, acquainted us with our guide and wished us fine travel on a safari. It is necessary to tell that our travel indeed was tremendous. Our guide Laizer was absolutely remarkable guide. He in detail told about animals and plants which we saw in a way, paid our attention to interesting sights which met to us on the way of our travel to national parks and reserves. We remained lost in admiration from our travel. Certainly the nature of Tanzania is surprisingly magnificent. Such as we saw there probably difficult to find somewhere else. But it is necessary to tell the main thing that it made unforgettable travel and our impressions not only the nature and fauna of Tanzania, but first of all the Tanzania Adventure team which organized for us this travel. We are heartily grateful to all remarkable team of this agency and each of guys personly – great Corina, Head of Sales Representative, guide Laizer, Alex, our guid on Zanzibar Eluid and all that whom we don’t know but who made our travel such unforgettable. To all my friends who will want to visit a safari I will be able to recommend only such reliable and checked partner as Tanzania Adventure. I wish to all members of the amicable Tanzania Adventure team of a good health, great personal happiness and prosperity in business! Friends, you are the best! ! !

Thank you, Corina, as you hung in there through our varied schedules, payments, and dreams. We were so thankful for Alex seeing to our orientation, then delivering Dave safely to us at 3 am! The organization, and flexibility was great. We were impressed with each park, how our experiences grew with each exposure, including the night lodgings. We all loved camping to deluxe camp at Mapito to the Sopa Lodge, but one night there was enough! We often remarked about the great vehicle, as we saw others struggle for views, or even air, in vehicles other vendors used. I speak for all in my commendations of Ibrahim, for his intense interest, awareness, and deeper knowledge of the Africa we craved, and we are all so curious! He was eloquent and balanced in portrayal of animal issues, but also of the human, often sensitive, issues. We thank you and will refer with praise!

We have finally arrived back home safe and sound – the kids are I in Canada, and Eric back to Kabul, and we wanted to send you a note of thanks for all of your organizing. Your arrangements were flawless and without exception everyone that we met throughout both weeks helped contribute to an awesome vacation. Not knowing what to expect, we were very pleased with both our accommodations, the quality of our meals, and the level of service we experienced. Of particular note were: – Ibrahim (our Safari expert extraordinaire) – Ibrahim managed to find for us every single animal we had hoped to see and his level of knowledge and experience provided an ongoing educational and colour commentary throughout the week that we very much appreciated. He is a wonderful person and we all enjoyed meeting him very much. – Ibrahim (our Spice tour / Stone Town guide) – Our 2nd Ibrahim was also a delight. He had very interesting insight that he was able to share about Zanzibar and Tanzania and it’s people and his sense of humour made our day trip very special – full of laughs and information. We very much enjoyed meeting him and spending the day with him. – Gustaaf and Haji and the staff at Villa Milele – Eric and I were very impressed with both of these young men and their attentive service ensuring that our needs were looked after. Vila Lisa is a very special place with plenty of space and spectacular views. Of particular note was the food prepared and presented by Daudi. Truly, out of this world!!! So flavorful and delicious… we really can’t say enough about all that Daudi prepared for us during the week. We just had to mention something we liked and the next night it showed up on our plate. Yum! – Although it’s very tough to be biased since all of the lodging throughout our stay was wonderful and unique in its own way, we all agreed that our stay at Mapito tented camp was top of list. I know this is in large part due to the staff. We were the only people staying at the camp for two nights and the team built fires, taught the kids and Eric to use bow and arrow, and just made us feel very warm and welcomed in the Serengeti. Please pass along our sincerest thanks to the Camp manager and his team – their kindness made this venue our most favourite lodging. There are so many special moments to recount, but just know how much we appreciate all that Tanzania Adventure did to accommodate our family’s vacation. We expected to see beautiful scenery, but were left with memories of the warm, friendly, and genuine people that inhabit that part of the world. asante kwa kila kitu

Guide: Our safari guide Emanuel was a very friendly person, who impressed us with his ability to spot animals in even far away distances. He explained our daily tours in advance and was open to our suggestions. We learned a lot particularly about birds from him. We can highly recommend him to other travelers. Accommodation: Staff in all our lodges/camps was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good as well. Lodges and camps were generally very good and convenient. Mapito Camp we liked best, Kirumuru Camp least (but the latter was good as well). But if we go for another safari, we will try to optimize the location of the lodges to reduce driving times. Minor issue: When we arrived in our Sansibar hotels, the staff there did not have reservations/information about our stay. But this could be clarified after a couple of phone calls. On the whole, it was an excellent tour at a fantastic location Thanks and Kind Regards

Leonie, we both had a lovely time. The Lake Duluti Lodge and the Escarpment Lodge were very, very nice, and were exactly what I had in mind: bounce around in a Land Cruiser all day, and stay in a really nice five star lodge at night. The “tents” were ok. Not wonderful, but ok. The Sopa Lodge wasn’t that nice, but the food was very good. Actually, the food at every place was very good, and even the “box” lunches were good. Overall, the safari was excellent. Samson was a very good guide, and was also a very good driver. We saw all the “big five”, plus quite a few other animals and birds as well. I was able to take 2000+ fantastic pictures because we brought two high-end Nikon cameras with a pile of lenses. Erabiya and I were very, very happy that we came. It is one of those things that a person should do at least once in their life. Thank you for all of your help with the trip.

Hi Corina, Our trip was just fantastic. Everything ran smoothly and Tanzania Adventure did not miss a beat. I am so impressed with the level of customer service I have received from you and from everyone at Tanzania Adventure I’ve interacted with. My husband and I didn’t even bring our cell phones or computers on the trip, so any hiccup with our transportation from the airport would have been difficult for us to resolve. Our flight into Kilimanjaro got delayed for 2+ hours, but when we got there at 3am we had a representative waiting for us (I forget his full name, but it started with a K), and despite having waited at the airport for 5 hours for us, he was nice as can be! After he dropped us off at the hotel my husband actually commented, “I think that is the nicest person I have ever met in my life!” We saw every animal that we wanted to see, and the experience of a private safari was amazing. We loved being able to go at our own pace, and of course we loved having our guide and the car to ourselves! Our guide Emanuel made our trip so special with his wealth of knowledge, warm personality, and ability to read us and what we wanted to get out of our trip. Now that we are back in the USA we find ourselves reminiscing constantly about our trip, and we talk about Emanuel as much as we talk about the sights we saw. He really is a wonderful person and I’m so glad that we were able to spend our safari portion with him! We were sad to say goodbye! Please pass along our compliments to him. I also wanted to tell you how much we LOVED Mapito tented camp. It was by far our favorite accommodation. Our Zanzibar portion of the trip went just as smoothly, and Abraham took great care of us with our transportation, spice tour, and tour of Stone Town. He too was a wealth of knowledge and we learned so much history from him. He was a great guide! Thank you so much for organizing the trip of a lifetime for us. We have recommended Tanzania Adventure to all of our friends who love to travel, and if we ever make it back to Tanzania we will absolutely go through you again!

In Summa 1+++ Lake Manyara Ntl. Park, 1. A little touch of adventure In Summa 1+++ Am frühen Nachmittag trafen wir Elisante an der Lodge und fuhren weiter. In Summa 1 ( Safarifaktor eingerechnet) Serengeti Sopa Lodge (zwei Nächte) Endlich *****including Pool!

Vielen Dank.

Hi Corina Overall we had a great time, thanks so much for the professional way in which our trip was arranged. We possibly tried to fit too much into too short a time, but that was our fault!! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company, so thanks once again. Best wishes Gregor and Eve

Dear Leonie, Thank you for organizing such good itinerary , we are all enjoyed the trip , the variety of accommodations and majority of our happiness was our Guide (Elaise) I hope he enjoyed our party as well.I have some comments it may help you and Tanzania to produce more travel business : first I need to introduce my self as a veterinarian graduated from Cairo University Egypt and Have and international degree in Artificial insemination in food animals from FAO (united Nation) at the same time (in Egypt) I was a well know travel agent managed/owned one of the top travel agency- member in national tourism organization and member of Futur (Madrid) -ITP ..... Moved to USA after gulf war and graduate again from Oklahoma university and became an orthopedic specialist in small domestic animals - Also Dr. Tom Walker is a veterinarian. we noticed that the trip loosing its adventure and start to be like an open Zoo - we have it in San Antonio Texas and San Diego California .....where you can drive by your own car through wild harmless animals because they are well fed and tranquilized .all lions are LAZY , Lethargic , sleepy - we saw tranquilized lions came and slept under our Land Cruiser. We noticed there are no medical attention for those animals , sever dermatitis , deep lacerations , abscesses , eye infection . we felt sorry My own advise is to give medical attention to those animals and leave them wild. at the end please pass this message with my e.mail address to our driver Eliser Thank you for all you did to make our trip with HAKUNA MATATA HANY

Hi Corina, Now we are back home in Australia, I wanted to let you know what a fantastic trip we had. Really appreciate the way your company understood what sort of experience we wanted and designed a tour to suit. The balance between the game drives (which were superb) and the cultural experiences was spot on. We never tired of either. The pace was also right with enough breaks that we did no wear ourselves out. Loved the more out of the way places too - especially Lake Natron; the tented camp there is wonderful and clearly much improved from past reviews. All your staff were delightful and professional - big thanks to all of them and especially Julius, our guide. He really did do a great job. Not only did he know his stuff but was great at finding the wildlife. On a personal level he was a lot of fun, great with the kids and very good at sensing when we needed to have a break or modify our itinerary to make the most of what was happening. Full marks to him. On the accommodation front - all the stops were excellent but standouts were Rivertrees (quite oasis after a very long journey from Sydney), Ol Mesera (delightful owner), Lake Natron (setting, tents, staff, village and laid back atmosphere), Ngorongoro Farm house (spectacular rooms) and Kisima Ngeda (beautiful setting, lovely tents and gently atmosphere). Your choices for Zanzibar were also very good. So thanks for a wonderful trip which has given us memories as a family to last a lifetime. I have written a review in Trip Advisor for TA and also for Lake Natron because their feedback needed to be updated. Cheers, Bill

Hi Corina, A fantastic safari ! Michael came up trumps with the identification and Ernest was superb with the food. They were such great company.( They did know me, for better or for worse !) We would like to write to both of them personally. Can you please give me both of their addresses? Many thanks. I hope that the photos were of some use, but, I will e mail the photos of this trip when I have downloaded them and sorted them. The migration was all to cock. The problem was the weather, which ,is being interferred with by global-warming.It would have taken us a day's driving to catch up with it,which we were not prepared to do. I shall have to come again just to see this! ( And to meet you!) Again, many thanks Corina for a great trip. We will be in touch. Sally and I may even come to Zanzibar! Rock on Tanzania Adventures !! Kind regards, and many thanks, Giles ,Robert and Dean.

Dear Corina, We have had an amazing time.Tarangire River Lodge was the best experience ever! Never have we seen such a wonderful place, so close to the animals. Also, the guided ranger walk safari was really an experience - everything was perfect at Tarangire according to accommodation. But the most important thing to mention, above everything, is Armini - simply the best guide and the kindest and thoughtfull man ever. We really enjoyed our time with him. He is such a competent guide, both when it comes to information about the animals and the culture in Tanzania, but also his incredible effort to make us as comfortable as possible. Moreover, we will also like to emphasize the extra effort he made for the purpose of giving us the best safari experience as well as the best stay in Tanzania in general. We will like to thank Armini for giving us such a great experience, and we will definitely recommend him to our friends here in Denmark.

My wife and I really enjoyed the trip very much and the accomodations were very well picked. The migunga resort in Lake Manyara was alright but the other onces were really nice. Our favorites were the stay at Tarangire and Mapito in Serengeti. Uli or guide was very knowledgable and friendly. we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We did a short safari in Kenya after and kept comparing to our experience in Tanzania.

Rick S, September 2012 Dear Lucas, The team of Solomon (driver/guide) and Benson (cook) was excellent. They are both perfectionists in their own fields and cooperate amazingly. They are also happy, honest men. Benson produced amazing meals based around the requirement for one meal to be vegetarian. Everyone's needs were met.

Dear Corina, A very Happy New Year to you and the team at Tanzania Adventure. We have just got back from India and I was planning to write to you about our wonderful holiday in Tanzania. I will fill out the feedback form, but in the meantime, I would like to give our appreciation for the excellent services and assistance that we got from Eliud; he was excellent in his knowledge, recognition and ability to see all the animals and birds and in answering our questions patiently. We have been telling everyone about the great holiday we had in Tanzania, especially the organization and service provided by Tanzania Adventure. Many thanks for all your help in making this a very memorable trip. Best regards, Venk

Dear Corina! One week has passed after our return from Tanzania. Now, after first emotions slowed down, is the moment to say thank you. So, we would like to thank you and your collegues for organizing a really wonderful program for us. We enjoyed every moment of our trip: on safari and on sunny Zanzibar. Our first safari was really unforgettable experience and definitely it was not the last safari in our lifes. Special "thank you" we would like to give to our safari driver Ibrahim. Without him we would not see even a half of animals. Open minded, with lot knowledges about tanzanian flora and fauna he was perfect guide! We wish you successful year 2013. All the best, Anna & Thomas

Hello! Now we are back in a dark cold Sweden again. I just wanted you to know that we are VERY satisfied with our safari with your company. Our guide Samuel was very well educated about the animals and a very careful driver. We were lucky and saw a lot of animals right outside the car. I have sent info to a few interested friends about you so you might get more Swedish customers! Best regards Annika

We would like to stress how great our guide Deodat was. He took very good care of us, was very proffessional and had an excellent knowledge about the area and the animals in Mikumi. He also helped us in case of sickness and made sure every part of our trip went without disturbance. The contact with corina during our booking was also very good and we got good descriptive answers on every question of ours.

We were overjoyed to have reached peak of Kili.Gidion & Hiji were the key to us achieving this. Safari was wonderful. Whilst the Zanzibar set up was more suited to honeymooners or couples my son & I did enjoy it a lot. Maybe one less day at resort and an extra in Stonetown. Guides/drivers for all venues on time & very helpful.

Corina We just wanted to thank you for all your help with our booking and organising of our holiday in August. We had the most brilliant time, definitely the holiday of a lifetime! All the arrangements went very smoothly and we were met by all your guides promptly and easily each time we changed location. All the places we stayed at were fantastic and comfortable and very special. Our guide in Tanzania, Fidelis, was really really excellent and we had a lovely time with him. He was a very good spotter of animals for us and we had some fun with the bumpy roads!!! It was good not to be following the crowd of other cars all the time. Please thank him again for his care and for looking after us so well, we really enjoyed getting to know him. Zanzibar was very different but it was good to relax for a while and rest! The guide who took us on the spice tour was really good and the tour was excellent, our girls really enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed Stone Town and the tour and our little bit of shopping. With best wishes and our thanks

Hi Annette, Settled back NO, love my work but really loved the holiday. The form is filled in, with some comments. Notable positives include Laizer, he was tremendous, and even the fuel pump problem added to the fun, but he was clearly on top of it all. Tarangire was superb, (trite to say so much different than when we knew it 30 years ago) and the game viewing was spectacular. There plus the sight of the migration on the Masai Mara border were highlights. Olivers is a great place to stay, but they do need to create a bit more privacy for the toilets!! The camp in Serengeti was also very nice. Other comments in the form. Yes when we worked out the timing of the day for the walk in the crater, we decided that it was just far too long, and so took our time leaving Tarangire. Glad we did, it would have been terrible to arrive at the Manor at night. Spectacular location and very nice hotel. Overall it was a great time and your company did a fine job, happy to be a reference if it would be of use. all the best

We had an absolutely fantastic time, the trip and the service from Tanzania Adventure far exceeded our expectations. Hi Annette, We reached back to Dubai safely this morning. Thank you for arranging a memorable trip. We would like to especially thank you for introducing us to Lawrence who is a talented safari guide and a nice person in general. He was very punctual and accomodating, which was exactlly what we needed. Once again, thank you for being on top of everything and making it a memorable trip for us. We truly appreciated your immediate responses and your professionalism.

Tanzania Adventure were wonderful and I cannot speak highly enough of them. They followed through with everything I had planned with Lucas Mombo, were really professional and attentive, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to other travellers. Our safari guide, Ibraham Jeffrey, was not only a very nice person and travel companion, but extremely knowledgable and terrific at spotting a vast number of things our untrained eyes would otherwise have missed. He made sure we had a wonderful adventure and was very flexible in our requests to stay a bit longer or stop off here and there.

We had a really wonderful time and the organisation, accommodation and itinerary were all just perfect...it was the trip of a lifetime! Our driver, Liza was a star and we very much enjoyed his company. I promised to send him some copies of photos from the trip. The accomodation was very well choose because we have seen the lodges and also the tented camps. In the Rivertrees and Mapito they offer us a special dinner for the honey moon. It was great and we were very happy. We really love mapito tented camp and gemma d'ell est.

One of my most memorable days was the special camp. We did not know what to expect. To learn of the animal's behavious and their personal space. To see them walk through the mist at a distant when the sun was rising was memorable. Annette you made the trip with your great communciation skills and ensuring our accomodations were in place.

Hi Corina, Thought I would write to you with feedback following our recent trip. All 8 of us had an amazing time at Mount Kilimanjaro, 5 made it to Uhuru, myself and my wife (who had planned to wait at Horombo, making it to Gilmans Point) and Suvaran Kiss had to return back to Kibo, suffering from mountain sickness. The team supporting us, Fredrick (chief/guide), Paul, Gaudence and Joseph (guides), Amani and Juma (assistant guides), Elia (chef), Godlisten and Joseph (waiters) and the porters were all remarkable. We cannot thank them enough for the way they looked after us (from the time Hachim and Fredrick did an inspection of our equipment to our return and getting us our certificates). There was excellent planning every evening about the following days walk, the food was amazing, considering where we were, the effort taken by the guides to get us as far as we did and looking after the unwell (e.g.Paul assisting Suvaran down the mountain) was all brilliant, and we are very grateful to Fredrick and his team. Please pass on our regards to them. Our safari was just as brilliant. Amani in particular and also Lotien were great driver/guides. All the places we stayed at following your recommendation were brilliant. We enjoyed our stay at each of the places, so thanks very much. Lotiens vehicle broke down a couple of times, yet it was amazing the way they managed to fix it whilst in the Serengeti!!! We saw plenty of game. So thanks for everything, expect friends to be contacting you and a third trip from us is not totally out of question!!

Darling Annette Just wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely fabulous safari and holiday. Will certainly recommend you and really hope to be back! Kind Regards

Dear Tanzania Adventure, We made a Safari with your jeeps and drivers and I have to say it was the best I ever made. Hussein was our guide and Julius our guide and driver. We say thank you very much for a very good organisation and thank you for the best driver of the world. Now I sent Julius a big letter to your office. Please give it to him, if you will get it. I wrote Personally to Julius on the letter so I hope he will reach it as soon as possible. He knows that he will get a big letter. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Dear Corina, May I take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for the fantastic safari you organised for us. We had a wonderful time and everything was planned to perfection. We wouldn't hesitate to use you again, in fact Benni, our guide, has inspired us to go to Ruaha next time!! We will be in touch, once we have saved up enough for another safari, Once again, thank you,

Dear Corina, Just a quick note to give you some feedback on our safari and to say a big thank you for arranging it all. We had a fabulous time and managed to see everything we wanted to see with close encounters with a leopard, a cheetah with her cubs and various lions as the real highlights. We also saw a Nile Monitor Lizard in the Tarangire river which was close to 2m long – loads of birds of prey and all the usual suspects like buffalo, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest etc, etc. The other highlight was to drive slowly through the migration of wildebeest – we've never seen so many animals together at one time, it was truly stunning! The Serena at Lake Manyara was fine – the others were absolutely amazing! We had no idea what to expect and were completely stunned when we were shown to our 'room' at Arusha Coffee Lodge and then things just seemed to get better as we went to Treetops, Migration Camp and, most notably, The Manor. The standard and quality of these lodges was way above expectations – finishing in the Plantation Suite back at Arusha Coffee Lodge was a wonderful end to what was an unforgettable safari experience. Gerald is a wonderful guide and driver and we got on with him extremely well – he was tireless in trying to find us the animals we really wanted to see and his knowledge of the various parks was amazing. Please do pass on our thanks to him when you next speak to him. I'm sure the qualities of the guide can make or break a safari and he certainly made ours. No complaints with any of the arrangements at all – all the people we met were, without exception, very friendly, welcoming and hospitable, some of the best service we've experienced anywhere in the world. To finish, we would just like to say a huge thank you to you – for holding our deposit for 2 years which was very generous and for then arranging such a fabulous safari for us. It's sad that we have to leave Tanzania but at least we have the memories of a trip of a lifetime to look back on. Many thanks & regards,

Dear Corina, I wanted to write you on Saturday and I started to put down some notes and then your e-mail came in! First of all thank you very much for organizing one of the best trips of my life! Antonio and myself loved Tanzania and its people: warm and hospitable. A piece of our heart is still there. The trip was perfectly organized. Your staff is excellent, punctual and helpful. All of them were always smiling and it seems that they really enjoy what they do. This comes through and clients really feel this hospitality. Please continue choosing the best guides and drivers for your clients! Thanks again for everything and best wishes,

Thank you for a wonderful visit to your Country. It was an impressive experience and far better than renting an own car. You run an excellent establishment. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, punctual. The transport used was good and affordable and your staff all friendly, willing to please and ALL with excellent English and knowledge of their Country. It will be my pleasure to recommend your services if someone asks me.

Asante Sana. Kwaheri, Herzliche Grüße

Dear Corina, 1. We were incredibly pleased with the “private tour” aspect of the safaris you offer. It was simply spectacular to be out on game drives all on our own, just us and our fantastic driver. It was one of the main reasons we chose your company, and we’re so happy we did. We were thrilled with all our outings, and it felt so much more like a true adventure, not being part of a tour group. Thank you for the amazing experience — truly the trip of a lifetime! 2. We were pleasantly surprised at how fantastic all the meals were, from our breakfasts and dinners at the lodges to our absolutely wonderful picnics out on the savannah. What an exceptional experience — stopping in the middle of a game drive, among beautiful surroundings, to enjoy a delicious meal! Thank you again for everything! We’re deeply appreciative of your efforts to give us a wonderful trip! Feel free to pass along our recommendations to any of your potential clients, as we were delighted with our vacation!

Dear Ronny, We arrived home safely and happily enriched with an amazing experience. We actually had one of our best holidays, mixing our first contact with the African civilisation with relaxation on the beautiful beaches. The safari was good, with Isidor being an excellent guide. We should have taken a few days more. We have been impressed by the African colours, light, sounds, smells, people, of course the animals, and very strong by the visit to the Maasai village. The accommodations, in Riverside Inn and Sopa Lodge, were fair enough. Anyway, in a few years from now we will come back with the kids, then we will try to enjoy a tent camp safari. On Zanzibar we have been amazed by the cultural differences with mainland Tanzania and stunned by the difference between the poverty in which the people live and the little paradises on the beach. You were right about the first hotel, Sunset Bay, that is offering only a limited comfort, maybe equivalent to an European 2-stars B&B. This would not be a big problem on itself, but becomes a problem when it is way overpriced. The second one, Hakuna Majiwe, has indeed one of the best ambiences we’ve ever experienced. Simple but very charming, having a beautiful location and built with a lot of good taste, it has met our every expectation. The organisation of the whole trip was excellent, everything went on smoothly and remarkably flawless, especially for being in Africa. I wanted to meet you on the 3rd to thank you but also to discuss about business in Zanzibar. I have noticed plenty of empty land plots on the East coast and became curious about the price of the beachfront land there. If you have knowledge about this, please give me details. Best regards,

    Dragos Paun

Dear Corina, We had a fantastic holiday and hard to believe as we are back in grey and raining Amsterdam! Joseph, our guide was really great and we so enjoyed the whole trip. We definitely want to have another trip bringing our grown up kids with us. Thank you so much for all your planning, the holiday was easy and totally stress free, which is exactly what we wanted, in fact for the first time in 10 years my husband actually switched his phone off! Kind regards,

We find Tanzania Adventure very organized and professional. Corina replied rapidly to my questions and gave me a lot of confidence in Tanzania Adventure. We met Joseph on the first day who outlined our itinerary for us…our experience with T.A. was very much like being taken by the hand and guided through Tanzania with a friend. I have a new respect for Toyota Land Cruisers ! I appreciate the organization with which Tanzania Adventures runs their operation. From the time we were picked up at our hotel to the moment we stepped on the plane home I felt that we were in good hands. I appreciated everyone’s punctuality and care during our trip.

Hi Corina, I was very pleased with the quick responses I had to every email. You were very prompt and helpful in shaping our trip. Edwin was great as well. It was nice having transportation at every stop. Iddy was good and quickly arranged for us to have transportation in Dar Es Salaam. The quick tour in Dar Es Salaam was good as well as the dinner outside the airport. The safari vehicle was clean and appeared to be well maintained. We were not worried about mechanical failures. The small plane from the Serengeti airstrip was a nice way to fly to Arusha. It gave us a great view of what we had seen from the ground. Taking off from a grass airstrip will be memorable and added to the trip. Ground transportation in Zanzibar was fine – it was nice to have air conditioning! All drivers were prompt and courteous.

Hi Ronny, our trip went very well. The 4 different parks were a good idea, as was a full day at the crater. Lazier (sp?) was great, just the right amount of info and very good on birds - especially liked when he had to look one up rather than making up an answer. The tent camp was just OK, the shower and hot water did not work in our tent (it did for the COulls), maybe because we were the only ones there (pool not working). My problem with the place was location, basically in a cow feeding area rather than a park. Compare with the first night in Tanguire where there were monkeys and elephants around. Only mistake with arrangements was the plane we flew back on went on from Arusha airport to Kilimanjaro but we got off and had a hot, bumpy ride to the airport. Value was good and we loved each park - again guide the best. I WILL RECOMMEND YOU. Hated the travel to get to you although Ethiopian air was OK. Thanks for all your help.

I had a talk with Corina about what more you can do in Tanzania. The more off the beaten track tours. If you find a way of marketing this to your previous customers in a good way I am sure you would get returning customers. I think this trip was excellent for us as a start but I would love to come back and go camping somewhere, visit a Maasai village far off, meet bushmen etc.

All of the accommodation was very comfortable and to a very high standard. We were very happy with all the staff and everyone worked really hard to ensure our stay was very relaxing. We had a fantastic time. Ocean Paradise in Zanzibar was where we spent the most time and this was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we were sad to leave.

Our favorite places were the Mapito Tented Camp and Keekorock Lodge. The staff at Mapito Tented Camp was wonderful and it was a fun experience.

Hakuna matata,

The organisation by Corina was excellent, she is very efficient. She put together a great itinerary that suited our needs, and meant that we saw so much but still didn’t feel that we were rushed or doing too much.

Dear Corina, I recently returned from a Tanzanian Adventure safari, and the more I reflect on the trip and tell others about it, the more I realize how lucky I am. Anyone who gets to visit Africa is lucky, but I feel particularly lucky to have booked through your agency. The quality of the trip, however, was not good fortune but the result of your agency's hard work. As you well know, the face of your company is the guides that you hire. I am sure that every one of them is screened for knowledge and personality and I suspect also for eyesight and driving ability, but I can't imagine that you have two finer guides than Israel and John. It's not always easy to spend 10 days traveling in close proximity to friends or family members, so I think these two men were extraordinary. They managed to be simultaneously part of the group and absolutely unobtrusive. From day one they knew our individual personalities and tailored their information accordingly. Whenever I drive now I just smile thinking how Israel could maneuver through those pot holes, spot lions in trees and simultaneously pass Dan the bird guide book open to the correct page and give a verbal reference to the picture of the bird flying on the opposite side of the road. He brought new meaning to the word "multi-tasking." He's also got a great artistic eye. When you reprint your brochure, I'd suggest that you hand him a camera. I know that it's part of the job to be nice, but both Israel and John were unfailingly patient and good humored no matter how ridiculous our requests or how many times we re-asked a question. And, they constantly checked in with each of us to be sure that we were physically well and happy with the way the trip was unfolding. They were also willing to answer a million questions about their lives and the lives of the Tanzanian people. In my travel life, I've done homestays and cultural exchanges so I have a frame of reference when I say I did not end this safari just saying " what interesting animals," but rather saying "what an incredible country." Now that I'm home I find myself frequently going on line to read the news from Tanzania. Abraham, our guide on Zanzibar, was also excellent. He gave a great tour of both Stonetown and the Spice Plantation. Again, it was not just his knowledge of history and agriculture that was impressive. He answered our many questions about culture, education, economics, and politics and left me with a feeling for Zanzibar that is much richer than the fact that it's a beautiful island. I would without reservation recommend your company to anyone planning an African trip. Thanks for creating such a memorable experience. Sincerely,

    Anne Baltren

Hi, This summer I have been in Tanzania and had some great safari experiences in Northern Tanzania, organised by Tanzania Adventure (www.tanzania-adventure.com). I could not find this company on your list of recommended safari operators in Arusha on page 44, but I really think they should be. The driver-guide was so skilled and had a lot of knowledge about the parks and wildlife, and he also spoke fluent English and always picked us up on exact time. He was also exceptional serviceminded, for instance, after we had said goodbye to him at Arusha airport, we had some problems at the check-in counter. The staff refused to accept our ticket, and the plane was about to leave within 20 minutes. We made a call to Tanzania Adventure for assistance, as we do not speak Swahili, and our guide returned immediately to the airport and helped us out of the situation with the ground personnel. I would really recommend other travellers to arrange their safari with Tanzania Adventure, and I know a lot of travellers look in your guidebook to find a good operator. Best regards,

    Kari Westersund, Oslo, Norway

Corina Sorry, its been a bit hectic to say the least since arriving back in the UK following our wedding and then honeymoon. Trust me, I'd much rather be lazing on a zanzibari beach or spotting elephants through binoculars, but instead am stuck behind my desk back in London. Thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful and memorable trip for us. The whole experience was truly special and won't be forgotten in a hurry. I was going to email and thank you anyway, but you beat me to it with your email, so I have responded on the attached form. If there is anything you wish me to elaborate on or discuss, then please don't hesitate to contact me further. We'll certainly be recommending you to any friends/family who may be travelling out that way in the near future. Thanks once again Regards

Dear Corina, First of all, we would like to congratulate you and your team for an excellent organization. It has been a wonderful holiday, also thanks to the fantastic hotel in Zanzibar (the Zanzibar Retreat Hotel, we recommend it to everyone!) and above all to our guide Joseph Ngwenya during the safari. We have realized the importance of having a good guide during a safari and believe that no one could have done a better job than him. For all of this, thank you very much! Kind regards,

We really appreciated how smoothly everything went! We know it’s difficult to always have every last detail perfectly lined up when you’re dealing with multiple tours all at once and we very much appreciated how well taken care of we were. We so appreciated being picked up on that last day by such a friendly and informative person. We had the best vacation of our lives and we really thank everyone who made it possible.

Corina , I just wanted to contact you to let you know we had a fantastic time on our Zanzibar (paradise) adventure and to take the opportunity to thank you. I thought we might have had the chance to meet in person while we were there, but I relayed my gratitude and feedback via 'Edi' (sorry I do not know how to spell his name) in Stonetown. The accomodations were terrific, and all the arrangements you made for us with the various guides and transfers and tours etc were tremendous. Your colleagues, the guides are all exceptional and we always felt in very good company while learning from the best. Your country is lovely as are it's people. We enjoyed it all - the safari and Zanzibar were particularly special. I will recommend your company to any I know travelling to Tanzania. Thank you once again Corina, Regards from Canada!

Hi Corina, We have just arrived back in Vancouver from our South African and East African holiday to somewhat cooler and wetter weather than we had become accustomed to in Africa. Our thanks go to you and Tanzania Adventures for making our Safari a very memorable and enjoyable experience. From the time we checked into Air Tanzania at Johannesburg International to our return one week later, everything we expected to happen did and our expectations were, I could say met and exceeded. All the arranged pick-ups, promised departure and arrival times were right on schedule or we were kept informed of any deviations. Your drivers/guides were excellent, especially Joseph whose vast knowledge of the wild life, local traditions etc was very interesting and informative and his knowledge of where to find the game very rewarding. In fact we feel we were very “lucky” to see more game than we had hoped for, including 5 cheetah (far beyond our wildest dreams… we have been visiting South African Parks ..notably Kruger for most of our early lives and never seen cheetah) numerous lion including the most magnificent Black Mane lion we have ever seen (Joseph seemed to know exactly where he would be). Elephant, Rhino and all the other species (including birds) we had hoped to see. Accommodations were all very good and they made our stays most comfortable… the tented camp was a very nice “extra”. The one slight mishap with respect to our friends’ balloon flight was unfortunate, but no reflection, from our perspective of anything but bad luck… it all turned out in the end and your Company is to be commended on the very professional way it was resolved. In this respect, we found Gordon very courteous and knowledgeable and always willing and ready to be of help and make our safari more enjoyable. Both guides were excellent drivers and we always felt safe. All in all, your company made our Safari a true highlight of our three months in Africa and we would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone. Regards

Hi Corina, I've filled in the form and am attaching it. Thank you so much for arranging the holiday for us, we certainly had a good time and would recommend your company to anyone thinking of doing the trip. It's hard getting back into the swing of things this week. I'm glad we had the opportunity of meeting you and wish you all the very best for the future and that you go from strength to strength. Your personal service and your rapid response to any queries was so reassuring, especially when one books something over the internet! Thanks again and very best wishes

Vielleicht macht ja Bernd (Kopplinger) wieder mal was mit Euch. Bis dahin viele Grüße aus München

Dear Ronny What to complain about? NOTHING! Thanks a lot for a really great tour. Everything worked out nicely and everyone in my group is just over the clouds man! If I should find one low- well maybe the last tented camp service level was a bit on the low side. On the other hand walking with the "stone age people" was one of the paramounts! On the real top- sides was Luca. Such an outstanding person. Soft, responsible, responsive, knowledgable, great driver, good birdwatcher and great animal tracker. Everybody in the group really adored him. Poems were written to him- well he was on of the big stars of this trip. We are just overwhelmed- thanks a lot!

Ronny, Hope everything is well in your corner of the world! As mentioned, the trip was incredible and I appreciate the effort on your part to enure that we had a great trip and also help out with some of the last minute updates. In March of 2008, I traveled to Tanzania for an excursion that encompassed summiting Kilimanjaro via Machame and visiting the Serengeti as well as Zanzibar. Tanzania Adventure was the guide and they facilitated an incredible trip. They provided insightful advice charting the course before the trip and ultimately delivered very well on the itinerary that was established. After extensive discussions with numerous tour companies and exhaustive research on the different alternatives, I decided to chose Tanzania Adventure for the guide as they showed strong knowledge of the area and were responsive to customizing the trip in ways that were more unique than many of the pre-packed trips that are offered by other tour companies. Tanzania Adventure was readily available to address questions prior to the trip and were able to accommodate variations on our trip as our plans developed. They showed strong interest in tailoring the trip to our liking. Tanzania Adventure was able to offer multitudes of alternatives as they benefitted from having a staff that is knowledgeable of the many nuances of the Kilimanjaro Routes, well connected within the local communities and able to deliver on variations of different plans. Tanzania Adventure was able to offer more options than many of the other tour companies and had an innovative approach to planning trip because of this knowledge and experience. The senior staff were readily available during the trip to answer questions and were able to provide insightful recommendations on places of interest while we were on the ground. They were responsive to updating the plans once we got in certain areas as we opted to stay longer in certain parts of Zanzibar (Stone Town) and shorter in others (Beach Resort). Tanzania Adventure worked in a collaborative way to facilitate a well thought out trip and demonstrated the ability to execute on the established plans during the trip. Kilimanjaro was the centerpiece of the trip and they were able to facilitate an incredible hike and successful summit via the Machame route. Our guide was Godfrey Consider who had extensive experience spanning numerous routes of Kilimanjaro. He was able to provide the background and history of the mountain as well as the different routes. The pace of the trip was well thought out and we were provided with good advice on how to prepare for the hike beforehand. Godfrey was able to explain the historical context around many of the places of interest on the mountain. The hike went at our pace and we were able to stop at places of interest on our on schedule. The porters were reliable in providing excellent support. The campsite, which included a mess tent, was consistently set up in advance of our arrival to the campsite. The porters would often leave much earlier in the morning than us in order to get a favorable location at the next campsite. Tanzania Adventure provided a comprehensive list of the must-haves and nice to haves on the hike that was helpful in planning and packing the appropriate amount of gear. Stayed at Moivaro Coffee Lodge before and after Kilimanjaro which was situated in a very scenic area outside Arusha. The lodge had a nice common area and the thatched huts were very nice. Ngorogoro Crater was a great trip. One day is ample time to see the wildlife in the crater. The guides drove us around in the crater and went out their way for up to spot wildlife and get plenty of pictures. The Sopa Lodge was a great place to stay as there was an incredible view of the crater. The lodge had a great lounge area and the rooms were large and well positioned for good views of the crater. The tented camp in the Serengeti was great as it was located in a very remote place. The camp provided a good combination of creature comforts while still keeping an adventurous element. The campsite had a common area were they had a bond fire with outdoor seating which was a great venue for watching the sunset. The campsite was well maintained and while it heavy duty tents, appeared as if it had been recently set up. The highlight of Zanzibar was Stone Town. While the beach resorts tend to quiet and somewhat sequestered, but the snorkeling/scuba is good. Some of the beach resorts may not have A/C which is essential on Zanzibar. Stone Town proved to be adventurous as it has intriguing history and many unique places to visit. Stayed at the Tembo Hotel in Zanzibar which was centrally located, had helpful staff and good A/C. Tanzania Adventure provided a guide that showed us around Stone Town and thoroughly explained the historical significance of various places such as the former Sultan's house.

Hi Corina, thanks for a fantastic Safari! Our guide was wonderful! He was very friendly and always helpful, and he did his best to make sure we had a good experience. He made sure we got as close to the animals as we could without driving off designated paths, and he always stopped long enough to get all the photographs we wanted. We couldn’t have been happier. We had a fantastic experience. We felt extremely lucky to have seen all the animals we wanted to see (and a cheetah kill!) in only 3 days

Dear Corina, I apologize for the delay in sending this to you. Our trip meant so much to us and I wanted to wait until I had a good block of time to fill this out carefully. Thank you again for a wonderful experience; one we hope to repeat one day. Please share our comments with those we indicated as providing special service - Laizer, Gibson, Joshua and of course, you are a special mention. We were thoroughly pleased and satisfied with our Tanzanian guide, Loy Laizer. Laizer provided superb viewing opportunities and demonstrated a keen spotting ability. He gave us great insights into the people and their culture. We learned so much from Laizer and he provided the mature perspective we were hoping to have in our guide. We cannot say enough about the difference Laizer made in the enjoyment of our trip. He extended himself to ensure we had everything we needed and saw everything we could. More than that, he became a friend with whom we wish to stay in touch. We were so pleased to have the opportunity to meet his family in his hometown of Arusha. Laizer is very special and your clients who have the opportunity to have him for a gude are lucky indeed. Warm regards,

    Rachel Scott (April 2008)

Wonderful accomodations from Arusha to the safari sites ; a surprise at Lake Manyara where we were staying in « tents. » They were more like staying at the Hilton. The facilities were first class as was the food and service. The Sopa Lodges were exceptional. Our driver was the best and ensured we saw all the animals and that included lions, cheetahs and the Black Rhino. I would and will recommend Tanzania Adventures to anyone and everyone who I meet that is travelling to East Africa. Excellent vehicle ; comfortable and reliable. (considering the roads) The one negative comment we all had was we noticed our vehicle was probably the only one on the entiire safari that did not have a sun roof. We would strongly recommend a sun roof – that sun is brutal. By sun roof I don’t mean the opening which was just great but rather the « umbrella » style top that protected everyone from the sun. All the other companies had this protection. Our guide (spelling?) Liza, was exceptional and ensured our safety, comfort, water bottles always available, timely, pleasant and very informative. In fact, he seemed to know everything and was able to identify all the bird and animals with more info that just its name. Even in Niarobi and the drive from Arusha was exceptional. Tanzania Adventure looks after you from the airport to the airport.

Jambo, I was on Safari through Tanzania Adventures in June 2008. I just wanted to thank you all and tell you what a wonderful experience it was. Laizer was our guide and he did a fabulous job. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and birds and had a great sense of humor. All of the people we met were kind and our accommodations were beautiful. Thank you for a most enjoyable experience. Ansanti sana,

Dear Corina, On behalf of all my family I would like to thank you and your team for the excellent services provided during our Zazibar and Safari trip. I have attached the questionare as requested. Apart from a few comments on accommodation every thing was good and we look forward to repeat the experience again. I will also recommend your company to my friends if interested to do Safari or visit Zanzibar. Best regards

Dear Corina, Thank you again for a wonderful trip. We are still talking and thinking about it and looking at pictures and little by little discussing what we'll do "next time". When next time comes we'll be in touch with you, for sure. We're very happy that we discoverd Tanzania Adventure and have recommended to our friends that are interested in a similar trip to contact you. I hope we can send some business your way. Asante sana,

Hi Corina, Thanks for your help with everything. Brilliant trip...very sad to be back at work! Most accomodation was very good but warning about the temperatures at Rhino lodge would have been appreciated….and perhaps giving your drivers hot water bottles to fill and give to guests could work until they put in heating ! The extra blankets weren’t enough. We were also displeased that they had no double beds at Rhino lodge as we had specifically requested these for the whole trip. The unguja resort was amazing ! Ralph and Elyse are the best proprieters of a resort that I’ve ever met – I would recommend to everyone that they stay there ! Mapito tent camp was amazing as well. It was much better served and had all the little touches we like….whereas the other tented camp, lake manyara was a bit less impressive but still good. Mt Meru lodge was awesome ! All transportation was perfect – all drivers were very good, on-time and generally did an excellent job. Alex was a brilliant driver and organiser of all the needed paperwork.

Hi Corina, I just got back to Qatar from our summer vacation, so I am sorry for being so long in getting back to you. Our Tanzania Adventure vacation was great. They were well organized and delivered on the entire schedule. They gave us choices as to where to stay. All accommodations were good to great. All the camps/hotels were high standards (We did choose the upscale vacation) and people were for the most part very friendly. We (my wife and I and out two daughters) spent 7 days on Safari and our driver was excellent and knowledgeable. We also spent 7 days on Zanzibar at 5 at a resort and 2 at Stone town. As the Tanzania Adventure office is on Zanzibar, they dropped us off for a visit with the office staff. We have lived in the Middle East for nearly ten years and have done a lot of traveling. We knew what to expect from third world countries and so were not surprised by some of the poverty you see there. You have to realize that you are in a different country and things (customs, food etc. are different). Having said this, we always had what we considered great food and accommodations. Cheers,

Ronny, Just wanted to let you know we arrived back safely, with all of our luggage (some other people had a more exciting transfer from Zanzibar to the BA flight!) and to thank you for the great holiday we had. We are very pleased that everything went so smoothly. From our perspective, the safari was definitely the best bit of the trip and we really liked the tented camp. Twa was an excellent guide and so we were pleased to have him. My only slight gripe about the safari was that our Toyota seemed to be the only one without a shade but apart from that, it was great.. We’
ll definitely recommend you to our friends and will write something on trip advisor. Happy to be emailed by prospective clients of yours. Thanks again.

Corina, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, been very busy at work. Todd and I had a wonderful time. The only regret we have is being stuck at the Breezes resort for 5 days with nothing to do and not being able to see more of Stonetown which is an incredible place. Other than that, we loved the guides. Please feel free to give my email address to anyone that may have questions. To be honest with you, I had so many concerns in the beginning as I saw so many outfitters and didn't know which ones were ligetimate. At the time I was shopping around, I don't beleive there was a section on the website that provided testimonials or an option to contact previous clients. I know this would have been very useful, so yes I think it is great that you are providing that option to contact previous clients. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

Dear Corina, we are already missing Tanzania!!! We send you our questionaire, with some more comments (always enthusiastic) about the accomodations. We expecially liked the lodges out of the usual touristic italian tours, such as Mapito or Eunoto. We surely will suggest your organization to our friends! Please give our regards to Moses and Luca. Hi Corina We are finally back in a very wet, stormy and polluted Hong Kong after a wonderful month in Africa. I really hope we will be able to return to Tanzania for another holiday. Godfrey has recommended that we should visit the Serengeti in January to see the wildebeest calving season and I would also like to visit Selous and the surrounding area but perhaps summer is not a good time for this visit. I will continue to check your website for different options. Thanks again for a really wonderful holiday. Regards

Hi Corina, Home safe and sound. Tired, with lots of washing and a suitcase full of dust but very happy with the trip. Thank you very much for the for all the arrangements. Everything went smoothly, the lodges chosen turned out to be just right and gave an interesting mix of accommodation and location. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time in them because we were always busy looking at the wildlife! Evarest Kabombe was excellent. He was a very careful driver, kept the Landcruiser spotless despite the endless dust and was always punctual. As a guide we don't think that he missed anything and his keenness and knowledge really made the trip for us. We felt sorry for him some days when he had to spend so many hours at the wheel but he always remained cheerful. He is a great credit to your company. We plan to return to Tanzania to see the Southern Game Parks and perhaps visit Zanzibar. When do think is the best time to visit and what areas should we see? We would like Evarest to be our driver/guide again. Could this be arranged? Regards,

Hi Corina: I just posted this message in Trip advisory and though you might want to read it. I will write a more lengthy report in a week or so and send it to you as well. I am also planning to write one about our experience at Bawe to send to the managers. Thanks so much for making this the trip of a life time!!! Kind regards!
We just came back from Tanzania few hours ago. I ma going to be without email address for a 2 weeks, but as pormissed I wanted everyone about our experience withTanzania Adventure. I am planning to write a lengthy report with plenty of details and tips to come soon. But in the mean time I wanted everyone to know that our experience with Tanzania adventure was GREAT!!! They were punctual in meeting us at every point. They cars and drivers were excellent. The accomodations were superb, all in their own style. We finally met Corina who felt like an old friend and was extremely helpful at all points. After the Safari we stayed in Bawe island ( 6Km from Zanzibar) and we were the ONLY GUEST in the 5 star private resort. The island, Corina suggestion, is of incredible natural beauty our foot prints were the only ones in the sand beach every day and I do not know how are we going to get used to not having 3 cheff and escort of help trying to fullfill every wish. It was the trip of a lifetime!!!!

Dear Corina, It's been already two weeks since we got back from our Tanzania & Zanzibar trip, we enjoyed it tremendously. Return journey went on very smoothly no delay, we arrived back on time. Thank you so much for all the arrangement you have done for us. It was a fantastic holiday. Hope we will do it again. Thanks again for all you have done.

Dear Corina, nothing seemed to need improvement. Everything ran quite smoothly except that day that we got to Africa and were supposed to meet the first Tanzania Advernture representative, (forgot his name) to go over the itinerary he was about 2 hours late and we had no idea if he was coming still or what was going on…it was disconcerning and we were already a bit nerve wreaked having just gotten to Tanzania from California, USA.

The three safari places were GREAT ! Nice people, comfortable rooms, good food. Hebron was a FANTASTIC guide! I enjoyed learning the animals’ names and some Swahili words. Going a little more slowly through the parks would be the only recommendation for someone like me who likes to take it all in AND wants to look behind every branch and bush for animal life. We didn’t include the Serengeti on our safari because of the number of days of our vacation and the number of hours needed to drive there and back. It would have been helpful to know that we could have flown one direction and driven the other. Everyone we met talked very positively about having been to the Serengeti. I guess we’ll have to wait for a return trip!

Thank you all for a fabulous trip. We loved every minute of it and were sad to leave Tanzania! I think your web site is fantastic. And the SAMPLE itineraries that you had listed – as well as all of the support information that you offer for planning the trip – choosing the hotels etc – is what made me feel comfortable in pursuing a relationship with you. Then Corrina did an amazing job in being timely, responsive, and helpful with all of our inquiries and emails in planning the trip. As well as being very helpful and responsive to our needs and requests during the trip. It truly was a pleasure having her respond so upbeat and positive to any special accommodations we wanted to make to our itinerary during the trip. Thank you Corrina!

Dear Corina, Just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed our Safari / Zanzibar holiday which you arranged for us. The very wet conditions in the Serengeti and the problems this created made it a real 'adventure' and we would like to record our personal thanks to your driver / guide Melchiory who was excellent both in his care for us and his knowledge of wildlife, birdlife and general info on Tanzania. He worked extremely hard to ensure that we made the Ikoma Bush Camp and when the vehicle became stuck he impressed us by not standing and directing the helpful locals but by being very actively involved in digging the vehicle out, waist deep in the mud! We would recommend him to any of your future travellers. We are also grateful to the staff amd manager at the Bush Camp for the care provided during our stay again in difficult conditions, they made us most welcome and comfortable and it was a real change from the previous hotels. Having said this we also appreciated the comforts of the various hotels and lodges particularly liking the Moivara Coffee Lodge and E Unuto Retreat. The transfers to Zanzibar with Air Excel were also a very good experience and we really enjoyed both the Hakuna Majiwe lodge and the Dhow Palace Hotel. Also thanks to our guide in Zanzibar, Ali Baba, for his very good tour of Stone Town. Finally thank you for managing to change the flights for our departure which we really appreciated and meant that the holiday was not spoilt by a long layover in Nairobi. With best wishes to all for the New Year from two very satisfied customers,

Dear Corina, I just wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASTIC time on our safari! Thank you for everything you've done to help make this dream come true. All of our accomodations were wonderful, and of course our driver Loy Laizer was really amazing! He kept us entertained and was able to show us all of the animals-including all of the Big Five. It was incredible. Our drive through Ngorogoro Crater was simply breathtaking as there were more animals than the eye could see! When we got in the Serengeti the animals were spread out much more, but Laizer has the eyes of a hawk and found all of them! We also had the experience of meeting the people of the Maasai Village, which I can only descibe as eye opening and fascinating. Please make sure you tell him that we had a great time with him, and for putting up with us (Im sure he thought we were pretty crazy as there were a few incidents with insects=). I will also be emailing him with some pictures we took together. Also please thank Gibson again for me, for meeting us in Arusha on our way back, to give me a stuffed animal that I had left at the hotel on our first night. I know it seems silly but that stuffed animal means a lot to me, and I thought I'd never see it again. I was thrilled to know they found it and he was able to bring it back to me. The only thing that was less than ideal was that we were the only single people at our lovely hotel on Zanzibar! Three single ladies on the vacation of a lifetime in the midst of all these romantic couples! Hahaha! I just hope we didnt disrupt thier vacations. We had a great time at the great hotel there too, with a room right in front of the gorgeous beach, and I was able to go diving as well. Too bad we didnt get the chance to meet, but thanks again for the trip of a lifetime!

Dear Corina, I agree 100% with what Lynn has already said. It was an amazing holiday made even more special by the staff of Tanzania Adventure. Your arrangements took away all our travel worries and your staff were friendly, but professional at all times. Otis was very knowledgable and showed a great respect for the wildlife he was showing us, which certainly made so much of a difference to me. He took us away from the "busier" routes around the parks and did not "chase" animals, like some other companies did, when they clearly had had enough attention and wanted to be left alone. I too would recommend Tanzania Adventures to my friends. Please let me know if you plan to venture into holidays elsewhere. Thank you again. Kind Regards

Hi Corina, Thanks for your mail, and ofcourse i will fill in the questionnaire, sorry that i havent contacted you since my return from africa. Everything was wonderful, we are very happy about your services and we would like to make such a trip again. After we arrived in cyprus a few days later my father had a mild stroke, so i had to arrange a lot of things here in the hospital,. it is unbelievable, first my mum had a stroke in november and now my dad!! Anyway, it turned out ok, he is totally back to normal, ok he has some medicines he has to take. In the mean time i have put my pictures, at least some of them, in picasa website, and i will sent you an invitation to have a look at some pictures. Anyway, i will stay in touch for sure. Bye bye,

Corina, I just wanted to thank you for all of your efforts in organizing our trip! We had a fantastic time, and everything went as well as it could have for both the climb and the safari. We were delighted with Gibson’s hospitality, and his willingness to make some subtle adjustments along the way! We also thought all the guides were excellent – Massi and Godfrey on the mountain (as well as Richard the porter), and Melkior on the safari. We are already talking about ‘next time’, and we just wanted to make sure you knew how much we appreciated your help making it all happen! All the best,

Dear Ronny and the whole team of Tanzania-Adventure! Back in cold and grey Switzerland, we are still dreaming of our wonderful vacation in Tanzania and Zanzibar... Now, that we are sorting out our pictures and swapping stories starting with: "do you remember when..." it is hard to believe that paradise is only a few hours away. We had an absolutely great time - and that is thanks to YOU guys of Tanzania-Adventure! Everything was organised and taken care of in such a professional way that we could totally relax, sit back and just enjoy. The Lodges (especially E Unoto!) were great and our stay at the Ikoma-Camp unforgettable! Please send our thanks and best wishes also to the Ikoma-Team with Shabani and all the others who made our stay there so pleasant (we will never forget the hot shower in the tent and the cold beer by the fire after the game drive!!!). Our walking tours with Fadhili and his Masai friend at E Unoto as well as the one with Justin at Ngorongoro were two of the highlights of our trip. It was enormously interesting to hear about Masai living and culture while walking with them trough their homelands - many thanks! We also enjoyed the Ocean Paradise in Zanzibar very much! Thanks to Rashid's organisation we could also do the Stone Town and the spice-tour without having booked in advance. It was a great experience again and Abraham did a wonderful job explaining all the spices to us and of course his wife, who cooked the most tasteful and special lunch we had on the whole trip! A very special thanks goes to PETER! For June and Dagmar he already is an "old friend" as we had our second safari together - with Johanna and Urs he definitely found two new friends from Switzerland! It is just amazing how much Peter knows about all the animals, the nature and the country and its culture. And he is a great storyteller, too. Take care of him! Please keep up your spirit and your great work! We will keep on sending our friends to you.... Asante sana!

Hello Corina, we are happy to be home safely but we absolutely loved every minute of our trip to your beautiful country. We felt totally safe, we thought that all of the Tanzanian-Adventure guides that assisted us were wonderful. Isdory, Abraham, Masud, Abdul and anyone else that I have forgotten - they were all terrific and we will be sure to tell all of our friends that we would highly recommend your company. Thank you again for a very memorable vacation and all that you did for us to make it "happen". Respectfully yours,

Hello Corina, Well, we're back now in Holland and it is not very pleasant to get working again. But, it has to be. I still wanted to express my thank you very much for the trip that we've done. I think everything was very well organised: with Liza we had a great driver, who wasn't making any troubles regarding our requests of stopping at strange places, where no other tourists would stop. I think, that he has never had to deal with 2 idiots like we are (were): one long gamefrive from 5h45 in the morning till 6h00 in the evening. And I thinkl that secretly he did enjoy the trip with us. We had a great trip and the upgrading to the tented camp was really nice, thank you!! However, we preferred the 4 nights in Seronera, being very basic and in the midst of all action. I will surely recommend you to friends, if they have plans of travelling to Tanzania. Take care and all the best,

Corina- Sorry that we did not get to meet you in person. I should have taken a quick trip to Zanzibar to see you and enjoy the countryside. The opinion form was difficult to read and use so I will put some comments below: Travel Dates: 3-16 February, 2007 Accommodations: We enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent food at the Oasis Lodge the night before our trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro. We were very happy with the spacious and relatively new North Face tents that we slept in for 7 nights on the flanks of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The night after our trek, we stayed in the Impala Hotel which was in the center of Arusha. The hotel was satisfactory, but without character, but the meals were very good. The first night of the safari we stayed at the E Unoto Retreat which is just outside Lake Manyara and run by a Maasai village. Everything about this place was great-the setting, the individual bungalows, the food, and the service. The second night we stayed at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge which was pleasant with a great view into the crater, but very modern and without character. The last two nights we stayed at the Ikoma Bush Camp just outside Serengeti National Park. This camp was great with very comfortable tents with toilets and showers, peaceful setting, great food, and super staff. It was a great place to stay while on the safari. Transportation: For the trek, we went to and from the trek in a bus with the rest of staff and supplies. The bus was more than adequate. For the safari, we had a land cruiser which provided plenty of room for the five of us, plus the guide/driver. Guides: Godfrey and Aaron were our guides on the Kili trek and both were great. The "pole pole" pace enabled us to acclimatize and by the summit day we were passing all of the other groups. Both were very pleasant and knowledgeable and knew the mountain and everything about it. Peter was our guide for the safari and he was great. He was a very good driver (the driving conditions were not very good because of recent heavy rains in the Serengeti), very knowledgeable about wildlife including birds, and vegetation, and had the ability to take us to see all of the major wildlife. He was a pleasure to be with. General comments about Tanzania Adventure: Tanzania Adventure did a great job putting together a trip which included a trek up Mount Kilimanjaro followed by a safari. Everything, including the itinerary, accommodations, transportation, and guides, was outstanding and we recommend them to anyone planning an adventure to Tanzania, including beach time at Zanzibar. It was obvious that a lot of effort went into planning our trip and everything was carried out in a very professional, yet entertaining manner. Thanks to everyone who made our trip a huge success!

Corina – from the moment you first emailed me I felt comfortable with my choice. It is scary wiring thousands of dollars to someone you don’t know in another country, but you were always so quick to respond to all my questions that I felt comfortable doing this. Also everyone we met with your firm, Gibson, Frank, Alex & more were all just amazing. I didn’t have to think at all, someone was always there for us – even changing planes on the way to Zanzibar Gibson met us at the Arusha airport, bought us soda and got our tickets organized for us. Thank you! It really softened the blow of the cost of the whole trip and I can say I’d do it again in a minute!

Dear Corina I would like to thank you for a most fantastic organisation of our trip.We had a super time. Can't fault a thing. We arrived safely home yesterday morning . Just wanted to let you know. Please thank from me your co-workers : Lisa (spelling?) our driver & guide from Kilimanjaro airport to Ngorongoro to Marangu ; our guide in Zanzibar ( did not catch his name); our driver in Zanzibar ( again did not hear his name). They were friendly and competent. Laizer's car could do with a new battery though!! I will recommend your firm to my friends. Am about to write a little story of our journey and will slot in your e-mail address. Keep well. Bye

Dear Corina, Hopefully you will hear from the boys themselves but I can only tell you that Cody could not rave enough about Tanzania Adventure. The accomodations, the food, their guide (Lucas?), the service...above and beyond their expectations. Cody wonders what Lucas thought of those 5 yakking Americans but they were so curious and all of them knew that they were experiencing something so great and so special....never to be repeated. I hope they made a good impression as to being very respectful and appreciative Americans. We Americans have much to apologize for with too much of the horrible things we do as a nation but there are many of us who grieve our excess and our arrogance. It is important to us that our son show other countries respect. Cody's enthusiastic report has only made Bob and me all the more excited about our upcoming trip in Aug. He loved all of the accomodations and he wanted me to check with you that we will get to stay at the Oasis and the Sopa Lodge. He also wants me to ask if we could have two days on safari and an extra day in Zanzibar. He said they were exhausted after two days of safari and thinks we could stand the rest in Zanzibar. Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of our son and his friends. Blessings,

Hi Ronny, Thank you for your e-mail. We are looking back on a very good trip to Tanzania, also due to the good organization of Tanzania Adventure. Especially the driver/guide in Arusha, Manzani was his name, did a very good job. We was very friendly and helpful, he was really interested in nature and animals and knew a lot about Tanzania. No complaints about the safari, we saw numerous animals and all of the big five. Mafia was also really nice, more the 'real' Tanzania than Arusha and surroundings, due to the fact that there are way less tourists there. We really enjoyed the trip and it opened our eyes about Africa and it's culture. It was very good! Thank you for your services,

Dear Ronny Just wanted to say a BIG thank you for arranging the trip for us. We had a wonderful time . the little hick up in DAR was frustrating but least we got the NBO in the end. Swissport will be getting a visit from KQ after talking to my friends there !!!!!! All the staff at your tented camp we met were professional and friendly, and wonderful game viewing. I still cant believe in going to a place in the middle of no where I met people near to us in Italy and people who know the same people as me!!! The lodge in Pemba was as expected remote and wonderful beach , was a pity it rained at times . The lodge is in the process upgrade, so there were some minor problems, but to us was fine. Others got a bit upset but then the unexpected its part of being in Africa LOL!! We very much enjoyed ourselves, hope we can come back soon Very best regards

Dear Ronny, Having been back from our trip to Tanzania, I would like to thank you very much the excellent organization of our four-day safari in Manyara/Ngorongoro/Tarangire. It was really perfect and we, with my wife, are very much satisfied. Our guide, Godfrey Evarister, was great in everything: in driving, in finding hidden animals and in explaining things. Thanks to him we have got an unforgettable Tanzanian experience. Many thanks again for all. I will strongly recommend your company to anybody I meet preparing a trip to Tanzania, and hopefully ourselves could also come back one day. Very best wishes,

Dear Ronny, We have coming back from our holidays in Tanzania and Kenya and I would like to send you my thanks for the great safaris organised by you in Tanzania. We had spent a fantastic time in tanzania in very good lodges with a very nice and professional guide (Good Luck). The lodges booked by your team only 1 week before our trip were very nice and we cannot complain about anything regarding our stay in Tanzania. You can be sure that we will strongly recommend Tanzania Adventure to people in the future. Best regards.

Hi ronny— I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that absolutely everything about that trip was excellent! The guides, Luka, Michael and Liza, the accomodations and the food were all better than we ever imagined! I will send a longer, more formal when I get caught up at work! We also took some fabulous pics of all of the lodges/tented camps, guides etc that I will mail to you on CD! Thanks for all of your help!

Ronny, Now that we've been home for a few days, are nearly over our trip fatigue and jetlag, and have made one pass through our 700+ photos (!), we wanted to tell you how awesome the entire experience was, due as much to your incredible staff as to the natural wonders and beauty of your country. Kilimanjaro was more than we ever expected in terms of both its size and beauty and the sheer pleasure of the camping experience. I dreaded five nights of camping, but it was "hachuna matata," thanks to the very comfortable tent and, especially the excellent cooking by our chef, Obedi Makara, and the attentive service of our waiter/porter, Paulo. The food was great, and the dish of hot water and bar of soap before breakfast and dinner were a real treat! Of course, we owe most of our success (Linda to the summit, me to 4700+ meters) to our fantastic guide, John Nnko. What an amazing person to do what he does, and with such good spirits. He did his best to get me to the summit, too, but I knew when I awoke at 2300 hours that it was going to be tough. It was the first morning I hadn't felt well, and the first hour of hiking was all my lungs could handle. I just didn't have a good day, whereas I had felt very strong from Barranco to Barafu. Too bad, because Linda's photos at the top are fantastic! But, I'm just happy to have had the experience and to have seen as much of the mountain as I did. In fact, I feel worse for Paulo not being able to summit, since he had to go back down with me, than I do for my own failure. Anyway, John was great, and we especially enjoyed having him join us for the meals -- an unexpected treat. His English is great--as is Obedi's--making the experience easier than we had thought it might be. Being biologists, we especially appreciated John's knowledge of the flora and fauna of the mountain. Also amazing were the porters. What athletes! We'll never forget a point on the trail from Shira to Barranco, when we were passed by Paulo and Benjamen, walking fast and singing, with our duffels on their heads -- all smiles, while we were doing that "pole, pole" tourist walk and maybe looking a little grim. In looking around at the other groups camping and hiking on the mountain at the same time has convinced us that we had by far the best staff, food, tent locations, and overall experience. Also exceeding all expectations was the safari. We couldn't have had a better week. Everest was amazing in his skill at spotting wildlife and his knowledge of the obscure roads of the parks. We especially appreciated his knowledge of birds, which we enjoy watching. We feel that most of the safari vehicles, which passed by everything but the large mammals, missed much of what was to be seen. We also enjoyed having him join us for dinner at the two lodges where it was permitted. We learned much from him--about Tanzania and its people as well as its wildlife--and never grew tired of our time in the vehicle. Our only regret is that we didn't book an additional day at Serengeti. So much to see! All of the lodges were great--especially E Unoto and the Serengeti Sopa. Great food, and more than satisfactory rooms (E Unoto was one of the best lodges we've ever experienced--awesome!). All of the staff at all of the lodges were great: very friendly and helpful, and with surprisingly good English. Finally, thanks to you and your office staff for the great job you did of pulling things together for us--including last minute changes to save us money at the lodges. From Gibson's meeting us as the airport, when we were tired and bewildered newcomers, to Everest's gracious additional work to get us to the airport early, it was the trip of a lifetime. We hope to return to Africa someday and see some of the other parks. I don't plan to try Kili again--too great a chance the result would be the same--but Linda might have her eyes set on Mount Meru! If so, please be assured that we will turn to you. We speak highly of your company whenever we get the chance. Thank you again for everything! Please pass our thanks and warm feelings on to John, Obedi, Everest, and the others. We'll never forget them. P.S. Our porters were Paulo, Benjameni, Loidi, Godueli, Meshaki, Godifrei, and Braison.

Dear Ronny, Although we are back for some time and when we look at our pictures we can not believe it was us and not National Geographic on a TV, we are very thankfull to you and your company - that was one of the best holidays in our life. Looking forward to the next opportunity to visit you. Regards,

Dear Ronny, Just to say what a terrific holiday we had in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everyone at Tanzania Adventure looked after us very well and it was a real adventure not only for the children but also us adults. We were very pleased with all the arrangements, the internal flights, transfers and hotels and a Tanzania Adventure person was always there when they were supposed to be-not only one but often 2 and even 3 people! We shall remember Tanzania and Zanzibar and its couteous and friendly people for a long time. Manase was very patient with us! Perhaps we set a record-a Safari of 5 days wearing the same totally unsuitable clothes-in my case a black silk skirt, torquoise silk blouse and wedge heeled sandals. Boy was that hot water bottle welcome at Ngorongoro! British Airways let us down again on our return journey as there was a 2 hour delay and we missed our internal flight connection so had to stay overnight in London before we got home a day late. But they did reorganise things as well as could be expected. We shall recommend you to anyone we know thinking of a trip to Tanzania. Thanks again.

Dear Ronny, We wish to thank You and Tanzania Adventure for most unforgettable safari tour the company arranged for us. I highly recommend Tanzania Adventure for the outstanding manor in which we were treated and for supplying us with a superb tour guide and driver. Everest went out of his way to provide us with landscape scenes and positions to shoot footage of animals in the best possible way. His knowledge of the places we were shown was so interesting and he was not shy to share answers to any of our questions. We can without a doubt say that we will not hesitate for one minute to recommend Tanzania Adventures to friends and family. Thanking you kindly

Dear Corina, First of all: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! It has been wonderful: the safari, the lodges (especially the ones in Lake Manyara and Tarangire, this last one for me was really exceptional!!) and last but not least the guides!! Peter was the driving guide, he told me he is the first driver in Tanzania Safari and also told me he knows you very well. Honek, the Italian speaking Masai guide for my friend Andrea, was such a sweet person. We will both remember and keep them in our hearts because they were so nice, friendly, helpful and great companionship! Infact we will keep in tought with them...! Best regards

Hello Gibson It is Richard Stephen here from Scotland, I am e-mailing you firstly, to thank you from Sarah & myself for a great holiday & honeymoon. We had a great Safari, the Maasai village was our favourite accommodation, however the tents in Serengeti were also spectacular & we both summated Kili with a fantastic guide, cook & porters. Thank you for the hotel once we got back from Zanzibar, it was much appreciated. We look back at our photos of the whole holiday with so many happy memories & laugh at the Kili tent. Thank you for making it all a good experience. Please pass our kind regards & praise onto the whole team in Arusha. Secondly, I have a work friend, Bruce Barrow, who will e-mail you soon for a trip in Tanzania. I have gave him your contact details, I told him all about our holiday & your business & set-up, he is not going through any other agent so please give him a good price. I have another two couples who are very interested for next year July/August time I believe, again they have your details so they will arrange through you. Any other people I know I will send them your way also. If you have any questions on these trips please do not hesitate to e-mail me. I should become your travel representative here in Scotland, Ha ha!! I hope you are keeping well & business is very good for you with lots of tourists. Best regards,

Dear Ronny, Myself and Edel wanted to let you know how happy we were with the service provided to us by Tanzania Adventure. All the administration was extremely efficient and your patience with us trying to decide exactly what we wanted to do was exemplary. Wilson was a fantastic guide and an excellent driver – he made us feel at ease from the very beginning – and his knowledge of the parks and animals was amazing. All of the accommodation was of the highest standard – and our awkward vegetarian diet was always catered for. We will be recommending you guys to any of our friends considering a trip to Tanzania/Zanzibar. Thanks for a wonderful trip. Best regards

Dear Corina and Lucas, Your driver Lucas has made such a good impression on our son that he just now said "Lucas now?" As answer to our question where is Lucas, he replied "Tanzania" No greater compliment possible we think! Many greetings,

Ronny, We just returned from our safari in Tanzania. I'm writing some feedback for you. You'll be pleased to know that we were very happy with our holiday and had no problems. Our driver/guide Peter was really very good - a nice man with sense of humour. He was knowledgeable concerning wildlife and culture and was sensitive to our needs during the trip. We are really happy to have met him. Accommodation as follows: Arusha mountain village - very good. Tarangire Treetops - really excellent, our favourite lodge. E Unoto Retreat - excellent. very special place. Ngorogoro Serena - ok but nothing special. Ngorongoro Farmhouse - excellent, really nice setting with good food. Ngorogoro Sopa - nice location but nothing special ... in fact the Serena/Sopa (which I was insisting on) were the least interesting places to stay - lots of tourists in large groups. I recommend the other places much more highly, especiall Tarangire Treetops and E Unoto. The farmhouse was also a great choice and we'd have preferred to stay there than the Serena/Sopa if we'd known in advance how nice it is. We were impressed by the people of Tanzania and enjoyed the game drives. We liked Tarangire the best because it's a large park and we liked Ngorogoro Crater the least because it feels like a zoo (although we saw the greatest variety of animals there). The trip to Empakai Crater was also a good choice (long journey there from the farmhouse) - and we enjoyed the walking after several days in the car. Thanks for organizing this special trip for us. Regards,

Steve Green & Annette Bulant (17.10.06)

Hi Ronny and everyone, I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to write (its been over a month since we got back now - scary!), but I wanted to say thank you to everyone at Tanzania Adventure for making our trip such a success. Both Stuart and I agreed that the trip couldn't have gone better, from summiting Kili, catching all the Big 5 on safari (and the rest), and diving in Zanzibar it was a fantastic experience, and I can't stop looking at all the pictures! I'm currently in the process of writing up a trip report, so I will forward the link through to you once its complete. I think a few years down the line we'll be back for more, and quite a few friends have expressed an interest since hearing about our trip. Once again - many, many thanks to you and your team, they really made a difference on the trip. Thanks again,

    Bryn & Stuart (17.11.06)

Hi Ronny, We've already talked with Xavier and Sandra and they're really happy with the entire trip in general, especially with the car and the driver/guide. They've told us that the activities were really good and interesting and food delicious. The only thing they didn't like so much were the camp sites in lake Natron and Eyasi but all in all, they weren't bad. So, we write to thank you for the great treatment and tell you that we hope to be able to work together again. Thanks again,

Hallo Corina !

Dear Ronny, after our unforgettable holiday in Africa, we are finally back home. We would like to thank you for the perfect organization of our trip. Our safari was wonderful, Otis was great with us... everything was fine, except the POOR lunch boxes we used to get from the lodges!!! We know it is not your fault at all.... but try (together with the other safari companies) to get this service improved: it is worth for you all! Thanks once again for our beautiful Tanzanian experience. We miss Africa already... Greetings from all of us

Tanzania Adventures, I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks after our recent safari that your company set up for us. The three families that traveled on your tour had the greatest time of our lives and the professional guide service that we experienced with Bill and Sam was more that we could have asked for. Every one of us will remember the animals, the people and places we saw and will whole heartedly recommend your company as well as Bill and Sam for guiding to everyone in Egypt that asks for recommendations for travel trips. We look forward to our return and another trip in the future, this time in the dry season with camping as an added adventure.

Hi Ronny, Gibson & Rashid, Thanks once again for a FANTASTIC trip! We are sorry to be back home and wish we were still on safari. Oh well, we will know try to carry the "hakuna matata" way of life to our crazy world over here. We had dinner with 8 friends last night who peppered us with questions about the trip. They and others are all looking forward to the slide show in a few weeks. Anyway it WAS the trip of a lifetime and we want to give you our highest thanks for making it so. We are already dreaming of a return! All the best,

hello, We were very happy with the services we had through Tanzania Adventure. They are very punctual and the organisation is perfect. The guides are also very interesting and are at your entire disposal. The hotels proposed and that we choose on Zanzibar were excellent (Dhow Palace in Stonetown and Chwaka Bay on the east coast) and the food is very good. We had a camping safari on the mainland and the camp sites and tents are very nice. The staff is also very friendly and always ready to help and at your disposal. We very much recommend this agency and we are sure you will not be disapointed. We were enchanted by our trip. Hope you have a nice time in that wonderful country ; we also hope we can make it back there one day and will once again book through Tanzania Adventure. Best regards

Hi, we are pleased to recommend 'Tanzania Adventure' (Ronny Bender) as a travel company. We found the company on the internet and found Ronny easy to deal with as he was flexible and altered a package to allow us to do the safari, then go to Pemba Island diving through Swahili divers at the Mission. He responded quickly to emails and confirmed pricing, airfares and the diving leg efficiently and effectively. The attached map summarises our trip. We camped through the parks and had the best guide in Peter who had been a game warden and really knew the animals and about the parks. Our cook was George who did a great job setting up the camp and cooking. We met other people on the trip who had been with bigger companies but who had not seen the many lions, cheetahs and other animals we saw and were amazed that we had seen leopard up close as they had not. Ask Peter how he hurt his knee and he will chat for hours about his many experiences in the bush. We flew from Serrenghetti to Zanzibar and Pemba and all our flights were on time and very well done. Ronny has a good relationship with loval people and the feel of our trip was nice as we toured villages at Mosquito town by Lake Manyra and ate lunch in the house of a local member of Ronny's company in Zanzibar. The diving at Pemba was great and we enjoyed our stay at the Mission which is well run and friendly. We stayed at the Dhow Palace hotel n Zanzibar which is a very nice hotel and a pleasant end to our trip. We are from New Zealand and have travelled a lot and this trip was one of the best. It is not easy running a busines in Tanzania as it is very poor but Ronny is doing it very well as are the Swahili diving team. The trip exceeded our expectations as we thought that we would have the odd hassle but there were none - just great photo opportunities, nice people, good weather 29 degree sea and good visibility with fantastic drift diving on huge walls and drop offs. We hope you decide to use Ronny and his team as they are the real deal. Good luck

Hi Ronny! I's been a while now since we got back from our great holliday i Tanzania. It's always a million things to be done when the holiday is over so I have'nt had the chance to get back to you until now. First of all we would like to thank you and everybody at Tanzania Adventure for a great holiday. We have so many good memories from this holiday which we will remember for a long time. Afrika is really an interesting continent, so different from our northern climate. We are very impressed by the way you run the company. There is absolutely nothing that we would have liked done in any other way. We felt very well taken care of at all times, with friendly people meeting us on time at all locations. Espesially we would like to send our best regards to our safari driver Charles. We could'nt hav asked for a better driver. Impressive animal-finding skills and patience. We have some video and pictures that we would like to send to you and to our driver Charles. Whats the best way to do that? Best regards!

Dear Ronny A final email to say thank you to you for helping to ensure that we had such an enjoyable holiday. Jan and I really did appreciate all the efforts you and your colleagues went to. Wilson was a brilliant guide and went to considerable trouble to ensure that we saw a wide range of animals and birds - he is very knowledgeable, and an excellent driver. We are now back in the United Kingdom (just in time for the end of Live 8 and cloudy weather). Its always nice to be home but I am more sorry than usual that this holiday is over. I also wanted to say again that I was very grateful for all the trouble you went to sort out the problems we had with the flight, and particularly to get us some extra time in Zanzibar which did make a lot of difference - it was also very generous of you to offer us the Spice trip. None of us could have done anything about us missing the orginal flight - Wilson made sure we were there on time for the plane & tried very hard to get us on it. I hope you have a good season and are not to exhausted by it. I will probably see Gemma over the next few days and will pass on your best wishes, Kind regards

Dear Ronny and Gibson, We are back in Paris after having spent 14 wonderful days in Tanzania. I would like to thank you both for your great services and helpfulness. I take this opportunity to commend the work of your staff, especially Laizer who was an incredibly experienced guide, truly knowledgeable about the wildlife. He deserves the highest comments on his exemplary work. Best regards and thank you again. (Ronny, if this e-mail does not automatically reach Gibson, kindly transfer it to him. Thanks.)

We will be sending you a proper written "thank you" in due course, but thought we ought to just make contact now we've come back to earth, just so you don't think we don't love you! Sorry that we didn't email sooner but we've been busy selling our flats and buying a house. Anyway, it was particularly lovely to meet you both during our trip, and we want to say "asante elfu sana" for the holiday of a life-time. Alex (Nairobi), Peter (Tanzania) and Alex (Zanzibar) were all a huge credit to your company. Having an experienced game warden to ourselves was an amazing experience, and thank you especially for responding so sensitively to our concerns about the bumps and dust - through Peter's careful driving and a new air-conditioned vehicle it was "hakuna matata". Also, being shown round stone town by someone born there added huge value. It's also probably worth mentioning that, not really knowing what to expect, the lodges were beyond our wildest expectations too! Anyway, I will shortly be updating our wedding website with a journal and photos of the honeymoon. I will send you a link as soon as its ready. It will represent a detailed and shining on-line review! We had an awesome experience, and cannot recommend your company highly enough to anyone considering the honeymoon package. It was perfect! Hi Ronny, I have fairly recently returned from my honeymoon organised by Tanzania Adventure and wanted to write briefly to thank you for your efforts in organising such a fantastic trip. As you can imagine there is some anxiety associated with placing the success of your honeymoon with an organisation on the internet, based in another country that you know little about but you and the team put us at ease and were on hand always to answer all the small questions we had. The level of support we received from meeting us at each point of our trip, to the high quality of the accommodation was above our expectation and we were really pleased with the flexibility that having such a personal service offered us. Manaseh, our driver, was a fantastic guy and very knowledgeable about all the animals we saw and our hosts at the Hakuna Majiwe hotel were also extremely pleasant. As I work for an organisation that sends members of the public on trip around the globe (including Tanzania) I would be happy to recommend your organisation to others in future and have already done so. It was a shame we didn’t get to meet, but I would like to thank you personally Ronny for ensuring our trip was exactly as we wanted it. Many thanks and best wishes,

Hi Ronny, We are back in New Zealand and it is hard to get back to reality (work) after such a fabulous trip. Thanks for arranging everything, we were really impressed how well everything was organised with the meeting and greeting at the airports, accommodation, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tanzania, it stands out as being our best holiday yet! Please pass on our greetings onto Everest our safari driver, we enjoyed his company on safari and he was amazing at spotting the wildlife! Also to Alex, in Zanzibar, he was good company and a great tour guide. And also to Gibson, who made us feel very welcome when we arrived in Arusha. We all have very fond memories of our trip. And by the way your website is great! Kind regards,
