Only about 2km from Kilwa Masoko town centre this
lodge is perched on the cliff overlooking Masoko Bay and in the distance
the ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kilwa Seaview
is the sister camp to Selous Mbega,
in the Selous Game Reserve
The lodge has ten stone bandas
spread along the cliff edge. The rooms are basic but are ensuite
and have acs. The main bar / lounge area is decorated in African
style and is constructed around a mammoth baobab tree.
There is a small swimming pool
and sunning deck. A short walk down the cliff side path takes you
to a small and secluded beach.
Activities on offer from the Seaview Resort include:
Trips
to the UNESCO World Heritage Site
Snorkelling
Deep
sea Fishing
Sailing
Kilwa
Seaview is in a good location and is a perfect stop off for exploring
the surrounding area; however the lodge does feel rather drab and
soulless.
