Located in the far north west of Ruaha National Park near the Mdonya Falls is this rustic tented camp. There are 11 safari tents all spaced along the banks of the Mdonya Sand River; ensuring privacy and great views. The 11 tents are simply decorated and are a mixture of twins and doubles all with private toilets and open-air showers. Rather than aim at the luxurious market Mdonya appeals to those wanting a real bush experience. With animals strolling through the camp, simple tents and lounge, no electricity and meals like-mum-made rather than nouvelle cuisine, all add to the experience and makes you feel part of the environment rather than a visitor. Due to the basic facilities here we tend to send those clients who want a true wildlife experience and are usually slightly younger and less comfort-conscious.
