This private Safari leads to less visited, but not less spectacular parks in the Southern Circuits of Tanzania. Highlights are the Sanje Waterfall in Udzungwa Mountain Forest, the last established National Park in Tanzania, the Ruaha National Park and Mikumi National Park. The Safari combines walking and game viewing by car.

Day 1 Arrival in Dar es Salaam

After arrival we will bring you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam, where you can relax with your Safari starting tomorrow.

Day 2 Dar es Salaam to Mikumi

Early morning we start to Mikumi National Park, afternoon game drive in the Park. In the evening we overnight in the Genesis Lodge just outside the park.

Day 3 Mikumi National Park

A full day game drive in the park. Late afternoon we proceed to Udzungwa Mountain Forest, for dinner and overnight in the Udzungwa Mountain Lodge.

Day 4 Hiking and Forest Bird Watching in Udzungwa Forests

Full day of hiking and bird-watching in the pristine rain forest: hiking towards the Sanje waterfalls for spectacular views of the wide Kilombero Valley.  There are smaller falls where one can take a refreshing bath. Dinner and overnight at the Udzungwa Mountain Lodge.

Day 5 Transfer to Iringa Town

Early Morning start driving to Ruaha National Park, stopover at the ISIMILA Stone Age site. Late afternoon arrival in Ruaha Park, where we overnight in the Msembe Bandas.

Day 6 Full day Game Viewing in Ruaha National Park

Morning and afternoon game viewing drives where we may see lions, elephants, kudus and even wild dogs. Dinner and overnight at Msembe Bandas.

Day 7 Game Drive Ruaha National Park

Early morning game drive to the park, return to the Msembe Bandas for branch and spending time relaxing. Afternoon walking safari with armed ranger. Return to the Bandas for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Return to Dar es Salaam

After sunrise game drive and breakfast, depart for Dar es Salaam, arriving there late afternoon.
