Mikumi National Park is a 5 hour drive, or 1.5 hour plane journey away from Dar Es Salaam, and this not only makes it easily accessible from Tanzania's unofficial capital city, but also the perfect park for a short safari at good value for money.

Mikumi gives an amazing overview of African wildlife and scenery, and is less populated with tourists than most other Tanzanian parks, resulting in fewer vehicles to compete with, and a more authentic African safari experience.

Jozani Forest

Located on the East Coast of Zanzibar, the forest of Jozani is a truly magical place to visit, and is home to the Red Colobus, a species of monkey that is unique to the island.

Taking a tour of the forest will allow you to observe these amazing animals and their behavioural habits, watching how they eat, communicate, climb and even play. If you are lucky, you may also see Ader's duiker, elephant shrews, and even some varieties of snake whilst passing through the rich and vibrant shrubbery.
