Kudu Lodge is a simple, but nice lodge, situated
near Karatu, between Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro
Crater and Lake Eyasi. It is therefore the perfect base
point for Safaris in the northern circuit.
Bungalows
Comfortable, well appointed en-suite bungalows,
all free standing and set among lush tropical gardens, with sweeping
views of the camping grounds, the surrounding hills and farms. They
are simple but tastefully furnished and each unit has a private
verandah. The bungalows can cater for the maximum of 30 clients
at a time; all are priced competitively to suit all sorts of clients.
Camping
Very large, well shaded / fenced camping grounds
with facilities.
The camping ground can accommodate 60 tents at a time.
Restaurant
The food is simple, but delicious with fresh vegetables
featuring both african and international cuisine plus varieties
of savoury pies befitting an establishment of this exclusivity.
The chef will gladly try to accommodate special dietary needs upon
request.
Bar and Lounge
The cozy, well stocked lively bar, with a huge
fire place to keep the guests warm on cooler evenings, you can either
tuck yourself into the garden chair, with an iced drink on your
table while enjoying the sun set over Ngorongoro hills.
Further facilities
The lodge offers darts, pool, volleyball, ... There
is a small internet café, plus satelite TV inside the bar.
Activities
Village - Guided Walking Safari
There are varieties of outings of different durations
and style designed to introduce guests to all wonder/beauty of karatu
or tanzania in general, the guided walking safari will take you
through the country side/village/ coffee farms, water fall with
a chance of cultural interactions with local people by visiting
the local market, the village school or traditional iraq houses
Horse riding
Our primary goal is to provide our guests
with the opportunity to esacape the crowded realm of the tourists
for a day and experience the pristine wildness/landscape on horse
back through the local villages. One of the most enchanting experience
of horse riding is the pause in the heat of the day to picnic in
the restfull shade of the majestic trees and savour the sounds and
scents of Africa all around you.
