Amaan Beach Bungalows

Amaan Bungalows are situated on the renownedly beautiful northern tip of Zanzibar Island. The village of Nungwi not only boasts stunning white sand beaches, and excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities, but a lively night life, excellent dining and an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Amaan Bungalows is the largest and most central accommodation centre in the area. Offering excellent facilities, three restaurants, friendly and helpful staff and over 50 beautifully decorated rooms, Amaan Bungalows is the obvious choice when visiting Nungwi.

Amaan Bungalows offer a choice of 4 types of accommodation. All rooms are set in beautiful gardens just a minute’s walk from the reception area, the restaurants and the beaches. The combination of a large accommodation centre with the elegant simplicity of design allows to create a feeling of familiarity and intimacy within the lively atmosphere of Nungwi. All the rooms have been decorated using local materials to give them a unique Zanzibari feel and come complete with mosquito nets, 24 hour electricity and access to fresh running water

Accommodation

Type A:

The airy and spacious sleeping area houses has two large, 4 poster style Zanzibari beds, beneath a ceiling fan. With a desk, wardrobe, mirror and en-suite bathroom with both hot and cold water, it is the perfect place to return to after a long day on the beach.
There are 14 Type A rooms in total, all placed around the front of the complex for easy access to the restaurants and beaches. 5 rooms have also been placed directly on the seafront with their own balconies overlooking the azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean, which laps gently beneath you at high tide.

The Menai Bay

Type B:

Although these rooms are slightly smaller in size to the Type A rooms, they are still airy and bright containing 2 single beds and a wardrobe/shelving unit. Each bungalow has its own balcony with chairs and a table and all rooms have their own en-suite bathroom. There is no water heater in these rooms as with Type A, but after a long day in the sun, most guests prefer to cool off with a refreshing cold shower

Hotel Facilities

Type C and D:

These rooms are structured in the same way as the type B rooms with 2 single beds, a wardrobe/shelving unit and a balcony. The only difference is that these rooms do not offer an en-suite bathroom. There are 14 separate bathrooms to accommodate the 20 Type D rooms, all within 30 seconds walking distance of the rooms.
