Serena Inn
Set in two historic sea front buildings that
have been masterfully restored, the Inn exploits its grandstand
view of the Indian Ocean from every angle and every room.
The beautiful decorated interiors echo the rich Arabian influences
as well as indigenous East African roots.
All 51 guest rooms are fully air conditioned, especially comfortable
and elegantly furnished. There is a restaurant at the seafront,
bar and a spacious and secluded swimming pool. The hotel has
conference facilities and can host up to 40 participants.
Dining is a feast of variety; local seafood is a speciality
and its preparation reflects the many cultural influences
that passed this way. |

Tembo
Hotel
The Tembo House Hotel is an old fashioned
and friendly hotel, surrounded by historic buildings on the
seafront in Stone Town. The hotel, converted from a 19th Century
building, has two wings - one decorated in typical Zanzibar
style and the other in modern western style.
The hotel has a spacious lounge facing the Indian Ocean. The
swimming pool allows you to cool off during the heat of the
day, whilst business travellers can take advantage of the
conference room.
All rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with Oriental
and traditional Zanzibari decorations and furnitures. First-class
facilities include air conditioning, mini-bar, telephone,
multi-channel television and en suite bathroom. In the Zanzibari
wing, some of the rooms have stone baths and intricate Arabic
carvings.
Note that the hotel is Arabic owned and does not sell any
alcoholic drinks - but there are plenty of bars and restaurants
nearby.

& Green Hotel Zanzibar

Chavda
Hotel
Also located in the center of old Stonetown, this middleclass
hotel offers good facilites. The renovated merchant’s
house is a family-run hotel and is always well maintained
and tidy.
It has an attractive entrance with oriental lamps and beautiful
wood carved doors. The hotel has 16 well-appointed rooms
spread over three floors.<The ensuite rooms have air-conditioning,
ventilators, mosquito nets, a minibar, satellite TV, safe
deposit box and hairdryer, thus equiped as 5 star hotel
rooms!
The attractive rooftop restaurant is decorated with latticework
and features marble-topped tables, antique chairs and dark-wood
railings. It offers a great view over Stonetown with its
minorettes, mosques, churches, with the ocean behind it.
The lunch and dinner menu is a la carte. There are good
curries and the menu includes Indian, Chinese, and European
dishes with fresh vegetables, fruits and seafood . Breakfast
is served in the restaurant a floor down.
The bar situated on the rooftop where you can soak up
ocean views over the tin rooftops of Stone Town while you
enjoy sundowners. It offers a wide range of drinks, making
the rooftop a special experience!

Dhow
Palace Stonetown
Dhow Palace Hotel is a small, yet luxurious
and intimate hotel situated in the heart of Zanzibar's historic
Stone Town. The hotel has an impressive selection of antique
ornaments and furniture, and a relaxed ambience. Its 16 ensuite
and spacious rooms are furnished with traditional Sultan-size
four-poster beds, Television sets, telephone, a mini-bar,
and are tastefully appointed with Zanzibari artefacts. The
