Mapenzi Beach Club

Mapenzi Beach Resort is situated on the East Coast, about 45 kilometres from the airport. The all-inclusive resort is covering an area of two hectares and blends in perfectly will with the surrounding tropical environment of beach and gardens. The resort consists of 62 spacious, family friendly and comfortable rooms, of which 30 have air-conditioning. Each room has ensuite bathroom facilities and is furnished in the typical East African style. Each room has its own veranda, mosquito nets, safety deposit box, hairdryer, telephone and ceiling fan. Double Seaview Rooms have interleading doors - great for family accommodation!
The main restaurant serves appetising international cuisine with an Italian touch, where breakfast and lunch are buffet style whilst dinner is either a set menu or buffet.

This beach hotel on the East Coast of Zanzibar, near Chwaka, is set on a beautiful beach. Sau Inn Hotel

The Sau Inn Hotel is a middle class hotel in a friendly village on the southern East Coast of Zanzibar. Set amidst beautiful gardens, the hotels offers a relaxed atmosphere. There are 35 self-contained, quite small bungalow-type rooms, each one having their own hot water heater and air-conditioning (from mid 2005). Four new two-storied bungalows with 8 rooms have been built. Two fibreglass boats are available for deep sea fishing and diving. The on-site dive shop offers open water dives with modern scuba equipment. Unfortunately the swimming pool is in a poor condition (Oct.2004).

Hakuna Majiwe Lodge

The new Hakuna Majiwe Lodge is located between the villages of Jambiani and Paje, on the South East Coast of Zanzibar. Set on a fabulous 6 kilometres white, sandy palmfringed and deserted beach, cooled by the ocean breeze, it is the perfect gateway to an exotic african paradise. Due to its isolated location you can perfectly relax here.
The Lodge has 18 sea-front rooms in double bungalows, and are beautifully located within about 30m of the beach. All rooms are equiped with big bathrooms, hot water, wardrobe, ceiling fan and mosquito nets and a large verandah. The rooms have all been individually designed to offer style, comfort and personality.
Hakuna Majiwe also has a family room measuring 6x6 metres and can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults. As all the rooms of the bungalows are semi detached, you could also house your children in the room next to you quite safely.
The spacious seaview restaurant offers a mix of italian and swahili cuisine, excellent food! At the well stocked bar you can get beers, south african wines and a wide variety of liquers.
During low tide the 27 meter swimming pool offers a good alternative for water enthusiastics.
