Just on the edge of the forest at the Udzungwa Mountains National Park is the authentically African tented camp Hondo Hondo.

The camp is made up of different types of accommodations, firstly there are luxurious tents – which include en-suite bathrooms and private verandas which have beautiful views of the Kilombero Valley, or alternatively there are mud-hut cottages – which have shared bathroom facilities.

The restaurant and bar area of Hondo Hondo is constructed from indigenous materials, and guests have the option of a wide variety of beverages and foods, and special requests for spit-roast hog, goat and lamb can be made by large groups.

There are many additional activities available at the camp for between game drive times, such as visits to local villages, nature walks, and mountain treks.
