Year 2009
Dear Ronny,
We arrived home safely and happily enriched with
an amazing experience. We actually had one of our best holidays,
mixing our first contact with the African civilisation with relaxation
on the beautiful beaches.
The safari was good, with Isidor being an excellent
guide. We should have taken a few days more. We have been impressed
by the African colours, light, sounds, smells, people, of course
the animals, and very strong by the visit to the Maasai village.
The accommodations, in Riverside Inn and Sopa Lodge, were fair enough.
Anyway, in a few years from now we will come back with the kids,
then we will try to enjoy a tent camp safari.
On Zanzibar we have been amazed by the cultural
differences with mainland Tanzania and stunned by the difference
between the poverty in which the people live and the little paradises
on the beach.
You were right about the first hotel, Sunset Bay,
that is offering only a limited comfort, maybe equivalent to an
European 2-stars B&B. This would not be a big problem on itself,
but becomes a problem when it is way overpriced.
The second one, Hakuna Majiwe, has indeed one of
the best ambiences we’ve ever experienced. Simple but very
charming, having a beautiful location and built with a lot of good
taste, it has met our every expectation.
The organisation of the whole trip was excellent,
everything went on smoothly and remarkably flawless, especially
for being in Africa.
I wanted to meet you on the 3rd to thank you but
also to discuss about business in Zanzibar. I have noticed plenty
of empty land plots on the East coast and became curious about the
price of the beachfront land there. If you have knowledge about
this, please give me details.
Best regards,
Dragos Paun (2009)

Dear Corina,
We had a fantastic holiday and hard to believe
as we are back in grey and raining Amsterdam! Joseph, our guide
was really great and we so enjoyed the whole trip. We definitely
want to have another trip bringing our grown up kids with us. Thank
you so much for all your planning, the holiday was easy and totally
stress free, which is exactly what we wanted, in fact for the first
time in 10 years my husband actually switched his phone off!
Kind regards,
Andrea Straughan

We find Tanzania Adventure very organized and professional.
Corina replied rapidly to my questions and gave me a lot of confidence
in Tanzania Adventure. We met Joseph on the first day who outlined
our itinerary for us…our experience with T.A. was very much
like being taken by the hand and guided through Tanzania with a
friend.
I have a new respect for Toyota Land Cruisers !
I appreciate the organization with which Tanzania Adventures runs
their operation. From the time we were picked up at our hotel to
the moment we stepped on the plane home I felt that we were in good
hands. I appreciated everyone’s punctuality and care during
our trip.

Hi Corina,
I was very pleased with the quick responses I had
to every email. You were very prompt and helpful in shaping our
trip. Edwin was great as well. It was nice having transportation
at every stop. Iddy was good and quickly arranged for us to have
transportation in Dar Es Salaam. The quick tour in Dar Es Salaam
was good as well as the dinner outside the airport.
The safari vehicle was clean and appeared to be
well maintained. We were not worried about mechanical failures.
The small plane from the Serengeti airstrip was a nice way to fly
to Arusha. It gave us a great view of what we had seen from the
ground. Taking off from a grass airstrip will be memorable and added
to the trip. Ground transportation in Zanzibar was fine –
it was nice to have air conditioning! All drivers were prompt and
courteous.

Hi Ronny,
our trip went very well. The 4 different parks
were a good idea, as was a full day at the crater. Lazier (sp?)
was great, just the right amount of info and very good on birds
- especially liked when he had to look one up rather than making
up an answer. The tent camp was just OK, the shower and hot water
did not work in our tent (it did for the COulls), maybe because
we were the only ones there (pool not working). My problem with
the place was location, basically in a cow feeding area rather than
a park. Compare with the first night in Tanguire where there were
monkeys and elephants around. Only mistake with arrangements was
the plane we flew back on went on from Arusha airport to Kilimanjaro
but we got off and had a hot, bumpy ride to the airport. Value was
good and we loved each park - again guide the best. I WILL RECOMMEND
YOU.
Hated the travel to get to you although Ethiopian air was OK. Thanks
for all your help.

I had a talk with Corina about what more you can
do in Tanzania. The more off the beaten track tours. If you find
a way of marketing this to your previous customers in a good way
I am sure you would get returning customers.
I think this trip was excellent for us as a start
but I would love to come back and go camping somewhere, visit a
Maasai village far off, meet bushmen etc.

All of the accommodation was very comfortable and
to a very high standard. We were very happy with all the staff and
everyone worked really hard to ensure our stay was very relaxing.
We had a fantastic time.
Ocean Paradise in Zanzibar was where we spent the most time and
this was exceptional.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we were sad to leave.

Our favorite places were the Mapito Tented Camp
and Keekorock Lodge. The staff at Mapito Tented Camp was wonderful
and it was a fun experience.

Jambo liebe Corina,
In Deutschland herrschen

The organisation by Corina was excellent, she is
very efficient. She put together a great itinerary that suited our
needs, and meant that we saw so much but still didn’t feel
that we were rushed or doing too much.

Corina, I have many friends that travel the world
and now some of those folk want to do Africa. Be assured your company
will get the highest praise and recommendation from me.
Thank you for an amazing experience!

Dear Corina,
I recently returned from a Tanzanian Adventure
safari, and the more I reflect on the trip and tell others about
it, the more I realize how lucky I am. Anyone who gets to visit
Africa is lucky, but I feel particularly lucky to have booked through
your agency. The quality of the trip, however, was not good fortune
but the result of your agency's hard work.
As you well know, the face of your company is the
guides that you hire. I am sure that every one of them is screened
for knowledge and personality and I suspect also for eyesight and
driving ability, but I can't imagine that you have two finer guides
than Israel and John. It's not always easy to spend 10 days traveling
in close proximity to friends or family members, so I think these
two men were extraordinary. They managed to be simultaneously part
of the group and absolutely unobtrusive. From day one they knew
our individual personalities and tailored their information accordingly.
Whenever I drive now I just smile thinking how Israel could maneuver
through those pot holes, spot lions in trees and simultaneously
pass Dan the bird guide book open to the correct page and give a
verbal reference to the picture of the bird flying on the opposite
side of the road. He brought new meaning to the word "multi-tasking."
He's also got a great artistic eye. When you reprint your brochure,
I'd suggest that you hand him a camera. I know that it's part of
the job to be nice, but both Israel and John were unfailingly patient
and good humored no matter how ridiculous our requests or how many
times we re-asked a question. And, they constantly checked in with
each of us to be sure that we were physically well and happy with
the way the trip was unfolding. They were also willing to answer
a million questions about their lives and the lives of the Tanzanian
people. In my travel life, I've done homestays and cultural exchanges
so I have a frame of reference when I say I did not end this safari
just saying " what interesting animals," but rather saying
"what an incredible country." Now that I'm home I find
myself frequently going on line to read the news from Tanzania.
Abraham, our guide on Zanzibar, was also excellent.
He gave a great tour of both Stonetown and the Spice Plantation.
Again, it was not just his knowledge of history and agriculture
that was impressive. He answered our many questions about culture,
education, economics, and politics and left me with a feeling for
Zanzibar that is much richer than the fact that it's a beautiful
island.
I would without reservation recommend your company
to anyone planning an African trip. Thanks for creating such a memorable
experience.
Sincerely,
Anne Baltren

Hi,
This summer I have been in Tanzania and had some great safari experiences
in Northern Tanzania, organised by Tanzania Adventure (www.tanzania-adventure.com).
I could not find this company on your list of recommended safari
operators in Arusha on page 44, but I really think they should be.
The driver-guide was so skilled and had a lot of knowledge about
the parks and wildlife, and he also spoke fluent English and always
picked us up on exact time.
He was also exceptional serviceminded, for instance,
after we had said goodbye to him at Arusha airport, we had some
problems at the check-in counter. The staff refused to accept our
ticket, and the plane was about to leave within 20 minutes. We made
a call to Tanzania Adventure for assistance, as we do not speak
Swahili, and our guide returned immediately to the airport and helped
us out of the situation with the ground personnel.
I would really recommend other travellers to arrange
their safari with Tanzania Adventure, and I know a lot of travellers
look in your guidebook to find a good operator.
Best regards,

Corina
Sorry, its been a bit hectic to say the least since arriving back
in the UK following our wedding and then honeymoon. Trust me, I'd
much rather be lazing on a zanzibari beach or spotting elephants
through binoculars, but instead am stuck behind my desk back in
London.
Thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful and memorable trip
for us. The whole experience was truly special and won't be forgotten
in a hurry. I was going to email and thank you anyway, but you beat
me to it with your email, so I have responded on the attached form.
If there is anything you wish me to elaborate on or discuss, then
please don't hesitate to contact me further.
We'll certainly be recommending you to any friends/family who may
be travelling out that way in the near future.
Thanks once again
Regards
Andy Rae

Dear Corina,
First of all, we would like to congratulate you and your team for
an excellent organization. It has been a wonderful holiday, also
thanks to the fantastic hotel in Zanzibar (the Zanzibar Retreat
Hotel, we recommend it to everyone!) and above all to our guide
Joseph Ngwenya during the safari. We have realized the importance
of having a good guide during a safari and believe that no one could
have done a better job than him.
For all of this, thank you very much!
Kind regards,

Dear Corina
The holiday was great! It is unbelievable how fast
it all went... we had a fantastic time. Thank you very much for
your kind and good help! We really appreciated this!
Bye bye

We really appreciated how smoothly everything went!
We know it’s difficult to always have every last detail perfectly
lined up when you’re dealing with multiple tours all at once
and we very much appreciated how well taken care of we were. We
so appreciated being picked up on that last day by such a friendly
and informative person. We had the best vacation of our lives and
we really thank everyone who made it possible.

Corina , I just wanted to contact you to let you
know we had a fantastic time on our Zanzibar (paradise) adventure
and to take the opportunity to thank you. I thought we might have
had the chance to meet in person while we were there, but I relayed
my gratitude and feedback via 'Edi' (sorry I do not know how to
spell his name) in Stonetown.
The accomodations were terrific, and all the arrangements you made
for us with the various guides and transfers and tours etc were
tremendous. Your colleagues, the guides are all exceptional and
we always felt in very good company while learning from the best.
Your country is lovely as are it's people. We enjoyed it all - the
safari and Zanzibar were particularly special.
I will recommend your company to any I know travelling to Tanzania.
Thank you once again Corina,
Regards from Canada!
Belinda, Tanya and Christine!
