    Hi Corina,

We have just arrived back in Vancouver from our South African and East African holiday to somewhat cooler and wetter weather than we had become accustomed to in Africa.

Our thanks go to you and Tanzania Adventures for making our Safari a very memorable and enjoyable experience.

From the time we checked into Air Tanzania at Johannesburg International to our return one week later, everything we expected to happen did and our expectations were, I could say met and exceeded.

All the arranged pick-ups, promised departure and arrival times were right on schedule or we were kept informed of any deviations. Your drivers/guides were excellent, especially Joseph whose vast knowledge of the wild life, local traditions etc was very interesting and informative and his knowledge of where to find the game very rewarding. In fact we feel we were very “lucky” to see more game than we had hoped for, including 5 cheetah (far beyond our wildest dreams… we have been visiting South African Parks ..notably Kruger for most of our early lives and never seen cheetah) numerous lion including the most magnificent Black Mane lion we have ever seen (Joseph seemed to know exactly where he would be). Elephant, Rhino and all the other species (including birds) we had hoped to see.

Accommodations were all very good and they made our stays most comfortable… the tented camp was a very nice “extra”.

The one slight mishap with respect to our friends’ balloon flight was unfortunate, but no reflection, from our perspective of anything but bad luck… it all turned out in the end and your Company is to be commended on the very professional way it was resolved. In this respect, we found Gordon very courteous and knowledgeable and always willing and ready to be of help and make our safari more enjoyable. Both guides were excellent drivers and we always felt safe.

All in all, your company made our Safari a true highlight of our three months in Africa and we would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone.

    Regards
Liz and Allan Miller (Jan 2008)

Hi Corina, I've filled in the form and am attaching it.

Thank you so much for arranging the holiday for us, we certainly had a
good time and would recommend your company to anyone thinking of doing
the trip. It's hard getting back into the swing of things this week.
I'm glad we had the opportunity of meeting you and wish you all the very
best for the future and that you go from strength to strength. Your
personal service and your rapid response to any queries was so
reassuring, especially when one books something over the internet!

Thanks again and very best wishes

    Hallo Ronny,

Vielleicht macht ja Bernd (Kopplinger) wieder mal was mit Euch.

Bis dahin viele Grüße aus München

    Annette & Alex (Jan 2008)

    Dear Ronny

    What to complain about? NOTHING!

Thanks a lot for a really great tour. Everything worked out nicely and everyone in my group is just over the clouds man! If I should find one low- well maybe the last tented camp service level was a bit on the low side. On the other hand walking with the "stone age people" was one of the paramounts!

On the real top- sides was Luca. Such an outstanding person. Soft, responsible, responsive, knowledgable, great driver, good birdwatcher and great animal tracker. Everybody in the group really adored him. Poems were written to him- well he was on of the big stars of this trip.

We are just overwhelmed- thanks a lot!

    Ronny,

Hope everything is well in your corner of the world! As mentioned, the
trip was incredible and I appreciate the effort on your part to enure that
we had a great trip and also help out with some of the last minute updates.

In March of 2008, I traveled to Tanzania for an excursion that encompassed
summiting Kilimanjaro via Machame and visiting the Serengeti as well as
Zanzibar. Tanzania Adventure was the guide and they facilitated an
incredible trip. They provided insightful advice charting the course
before the trip and ultimately delivered very well on the itinerary that
was established. After extensive discussions with numerous tour companies
and exhaustive research on the different alternatives, I decided to chose
Tanzania Adventure for the guide as they showed strong knowledge of the
area and were responsive to customizing the trip in ways that were more
unique than many of the pre-packed trips that are offered by other tour
companies. Tanzania Adventure was readily available to address questions
prior to the trip and were able to accommodate variations on our trip as
our plans developed. They showed strong interest in tailoring the trip to
our liking. Tanzania Adventure was able to offer multitudes of
alternatives as they benefitted from having a staff that is knowledgeable
of the many nuances of the Kilimanjaro Routes, well connected within the
local communities and able to deliver on variations of different plans.
Tanzania Adventure was able to offer more options than many of the other
tour companies and had an innovative approach to planning trip because of
this knowledge and experience. The senior staff were readily available
during the trip to answer questions and were able to provide insightful
recommendations on places of interest while we were on the ground. They
were responsive to updating the plans once we got in certain areas as we
opted to stay longer in certain parts of Zanzibar (Stone Town) and shorter
in others (Beach Resort). Tanzania Adventure worked in a collaborative way
to facilitate a well thought out trip and demonstrated the ability to
execute on the established plans during the trip.

Kilimanjaro was the centerpiece of the trip and they were able to
facilitate an incredible hike and successful summit via the Machame route.
Our guide was Godfrey Consider who had extensive experience spanning
numerous routes of Kilimanjaro. He was able to provide the background and
history of the mountain as well as the different routes. The pace of the
trip was well thought out and we were provided with good advice on how to
prepare for the hike beforehand. Godfrey was able to explain the
historical context around many of the places of interest on the mountain.
The hike went at our pace and we were able to stop at places of interest on
our on schedule. The porters were reliable in providing excellent support.
The campsite, which included a mess tent, was consistently set up in
advance of our arrival to the campsite. The porters would often leave much
earlier in the morning than us in order to get a favorable location at the
next campsite. Tanzania Adventure provided a comprehensive list of the
must-haves and nice to haves on the hike that was helpful in planning and
packing the appropriate amount of gear.

Stayed at Moivaro Coffee Lodge before and after Kilimanjaro which was
situated in a very scenic area outside Arusha. The lodge had a nice common
area and the thatched huts were very nice.

Ngorogoro Crater was a great trip. One day is ample time to see the
wildlife in the crater. The guides drove us around in the crater and went
out their way for up to spot wildlife and get plenty of pictures. The Sopa
Lodge was a great place to stay as there was an incredible view of the
crater. The lodge had a great lounge area and the rooms were large and
well positioned for good views of the crater.

The tented camp in the Serengeti was great as it was located in a very
remote place. The camp provided a good combination of creature comforts
while still keeping an adventurous element. The campsite had a common area
were they had a bond fire with outdoor seating which was a great venue for
watching the sunset. The campsite was well maintained and while it heavy
duty tents, appeared as if it had been recently set up.

The highlight of Zanzibar was Stone Town. While the beach resorts tend to
quiet and somewhat sequestered, but the snorkeling/scuba is good. Some of
the beach resorts may not have A/C which is essential on Zanzibar. Stone
Town proved to be adventurous as it has intriguing history and many unique
places to visit. Stayed at the Tembo Hotel in Zanzibar which was centrally
located, had helpful staff and good A/C. Tanzania Adventure provided a
guide that showed us around Stone Town and thoroughly explained the
historical significance of various places such as the former Sultan's
    house.

    Hi Corina,

    thanks for a fantastic Safari!

Our guide was wonderful! He was very friendly and always helpful, and he did his best to make sure we had a good experience. He made sure we got as close to the animals as we could without driving off designated paths, and he always stopped long enough to get all the photographs we wanted. We couldn’t have been happier.

We had a fantastic experience. We felt extremely lucky to have seen all the animals we wanted to see (and a cheetah kill!) in only 3 days

    Dear Corina,

I apologize for the delay in sending this to you. Our trip meant so much to us and I wanted to wait until I had a good block of time to fill this out carefully. Thank you again for a wonderful experience; one we hope to repeat one day.

Please share our comments with those we indicated as providing special service - Laizer, Gibson, Joshua and of course, you are a special mention.

We were thoroughly pleased and satisfied with our Tanzanian guide, Loy Laizer. Laizer provided superb viewing opportunities and demonstrated a keen spotting ability. He gave us great insights into the people and their culture. We learned so much from Laizer and he provided the mature perspective we were hoping to have in our guide. We cannot say enough about the difference Laizer made in the enjoyment of our trip. He extended himself to ensure we had everything we needed and saw everything we could. More than that, he became a friend with whom we wish to stay in touch. We were so pleased to have the opportunity to meet his family in his hometown of Arusha. Laizer is very special and your clients who have the opportunity to have him for a gude are lucky indeed.

    Warm regards,
    Rachel Scott (April 2008)

Very happy with TA ! TA and Corina kept us updated thoughout the entire process, and proofed to be highly flexible, even with last minute changes from our part.

    Bjorn Eric Nielsen (May 2008)

Wonderful accomodations from Arusha to the safari sites ; a surprise at Lake Manyara where we were staying in « tents. » They were more like staying at the Hilton. The facilities were first class as was the food and service. The Sopa Lodges were exceptional. Our driver was the best and ensured we saw all the animals and that included lions, cheetahs and the Black Rhino. I would and will recommend Tanzania Adventures to anyone and everyone who I meet that is travelling to East Africa.

Excellent vehicle ; comfortable and reliable. (considering the roads) The one negative comment we all had was we noticed our vehicle was probably the only one on the entiire safari that did not have a sun roof. We would strongly recommend a sun roof – that sun is brutal. By sun roof I don’t mean the opening which was just great but rather the « umbrella » style top that protected everyone from the sun. All the other companies had this protection.

Our guide (spelling?) Liza, was exceptional and ensured our safety, comfort, water bottles always available, timely, pleasant and very informative. In fact, he seemed to know everything and was able to identify all the bird and animals with more info that just its name.

Even in Niarobi and the drive from Arusha was exceptional. Tanzania Adventure looks after you from the airport to the airport.

    Thank you, Ronny!

Other than the charger problem, eveyrthing has just been beyond wonderulf - more than we could have dreamed of - the time of our lives! I can hardly wait to get home an dwirte you all about it (and maybe see you in Zanzibar! \(We'll be home June 15th)... ...and Peter is the best guide there could ever be! Corina,

I just wanted to thank you for an amazing vacation. Everything you arranged was perfect and made our safari and trip to Tanzania absolutely wonderful. Our guide, Michael, was fabulous and all the accomodations were 5 stars! You made our vacation so memorable and we cannot thank you enough for everything. I will definitely recommendthe company to others!!

    Corina and Ronny,

Attached please find our response to your questionnaire. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you . We both got slammed with work after coming back (I am in New York today) and I wanted to make sure that you have an honest and detailed report. Hope it's helpful. If you have any questions, please let me know. If your traveling ever brings you to LA, please feel free to give us a call, we would be happy to meet you for dinner/drinks. Corina, please say hi to my swimming buddy Malaika.

    Best regards,

    Jambo,

I was on Safari through Tanzania Adventures in June 2008. I just wanted to thank you all and tell you what a wonderful experience it was. Laizer was our guide and he did a fabulous job. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and birds and had a great sense of humor. All of the people we met were kind and our accommodations were beautiful. Thank you for a most enjoyable experience.

    Dear Corina,

On behalf of all my family I would like to thank you and your team for the excellent services provided during our Zazibar and Safari trip.

I have attached the questionare as requested. Apart from a few comments on accommodation every thing was good and we look forward to repeat the experience again. I will also recommend your company to my friends if interested to do Safari or visit Zanzibar.

    Best regards

    Dear Corina,

Thank you again for a wonderful trip. We are still talking and thinking about it and looking at pictures and little by little discussing what we'll do "next time". When next time comes we'll be in touch with you, for sure. We're very happy that we discoverd Tanzania Adventure and have recommended to our friends that are interested in a similar trip to contact you. I hope we can send some business your way.

    Asante sana,

    Maureen Stoetzel (June 2008)

    -------------------------------

    Hi Corina,
Thanks for your help with everything. Brilliant trip...very sad to be back at work!

Most accomodation was very good but warning about the temperatures at Rhino lodge would have been appreciated….and perhaps giving your drivers hot water bottles to fill and give to guests could work until they put in heating ! The extra blankets weren’t enough.

We were also displeased that they had no double beds at Rhino lodge as we had specifically requested these for the whole trip.

The unguja resort was amazing ! Ralph and Elyse are the best proprieters of a resort that I’ve ever met – I would recommend to everyone that they stay there !

Mapito tent camp was amazing as well. It was much better served and had all the little touches we like….whereas the other tented camp, lake manyara was a bit less impressive but still good.

Mt Meru lodge was awesome !

All transportation was perfect – all drivers were very good, on-time and generally did an excellent job. Alex was a brilliant driver and organiser of all the needed paperwork.

    Emily and Matt (August 2008)

    ----------------------------------

    Hi Corina,

I just got back to Qatar from our summer vacation, so I am sorry for being so long in getting back to you. Our Tanzania Adventure vacation was great.

They were well organized and delivered on the entire schedule. They gave us choices as to where to stay.

All accommodations were good to great. All the camps/hotels were high standards (We did choose the upscale vacation) and people were for the most part very friendly.

We (my wife and I and out two daughters) spent 7 days on Safari and our driver was excellent and knowledgeable.

We also spent 7 days on Zanzibar at 5 at a resort and 2 at Stone town. As the Tanzania Adventure office is on Zanzibar, they dropped us off for a visit with the office staff.

We have lived in the Middle East for nearly ten years and have done a lot of traveling. We knew what to expect from third world countries and so were not surprised by some of the poverty you see there. You have to realize that you are in a different country and things (customs, food etc. are different). Having said this, we always had what we considered great food and accommodations.

    Cheers,

    Bruce Gunn (July 2008)

    ---------------------------------

    Ronny,

Just wanted to let you know we arrived back safely, with all of our luggage (some other people had a more exciting transfer from Zanzibar to the BA flight!) and to thank you for the great holiday we had. We are very pleased that everything went so smoothly.

From our perspective, the safari was definitely the best bit of the trip and we really liked the tented camp. Twa was an excellent guide and so we were pleased to have him. My only slight gripe about the safari was that our Toyota seemed to be the only one without a shade but apart from that, it was great..

We’ll definitely recommend you to our friends and will write something on trip advisor. Happy to be emailed by prospective clients of yours. Thanks again.

    Mary Tyler (July 2008)

    ---------------------------------

Corina, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, been very busy at work. Todd and I had a wonderful time. The only regret we have is being stuck at the Breezes resort for 5 days with nothing to do and not being able to see more of Stonetown which is an incredible place. Other than that, we loved the guides. Please feel free to give my email address to anyone that may have questions. To be honest with you, I had so many concerns in the beginning as I saw so many outfitters and didn't know which ones were ligetimate. At the time I was shopping around, I don't beleive there was a section on the website that provided testimonials or an option to contact previous clients. I know this would have been very useful, so yes I think it is great that you are providing that option to contact previous clients.
Thanks again for a wonderful time.

    Sally Jo (July 2008)

    ----------------------------------

    Dear Corina,
we are already missing Tanzania!!! We send you our questionaire, with some more comments (always enthusiastic) about the accomodations. We expecially liked the lodges out of the usual touristic italian tours, such as Mapito or Eunoto. We surely will suggest your organization to our friends! Please give our regards to Moses and Luca.

    Kind regards,
    Candido Family (July 2008)

    Hi Corina

We are finally back in a very wet, stormy and polluted Hong Kong after a wonderful month in Africa.

I really hope we will be able to return to Tanzania for another holiday. Godfrey has recommended that we should visit the Serengeti in January to see the wildebeest calving season and I would also like to visit Selous and the surrounding area but perhaps summer is not a good time for this visit. I will continue to check your website for different options.
Thanks again for a really wonderful holiday.

    Regards
    Noel Crombrink (July 2008)

    -----------------------------------

    Dear Prisca,

After a few days we came back from Tanzania I sent you an email with all my thanks for the wonderful holidays you arranged for us.
I let you note my website where I have put the pictures I did there but i haven't yet received any answer.
I know that it is passed a lot of time but now I realize that something went wrong with the email.
please, thake a look at your emails.
In the case my email has got lost escuse me for the delay and thank you very much for the wonderful things you let us see, the great people you let us know and the beautiful days we spent there.
Please, give my best regards to Ali and Zacai (our guide in safari), to joshua, to Idi and of course to Corina.
I'll promise you that if we go back to Tanzania we will contact one more time Tanzania Adventure and we will rcomend your company to everyone will ask us for a safari.

    Liebe Corina,

    ---------------------------

Everything was really fine. Everything happened like Tanzania Adventure planed and we expected. We enjoyed Tanzania adventure very much.

    Frauke Anj-Koch (Aug 2008)

    Hi Corina,

Home safe and sound. Tired, with lots of washing and a suitcase full of dust but very happy with the trip.

Thank you very much for the for all the arrangements. Everything went smoothly, the lodges chosen turned out to be just right and gave an interesting mix of accommodation and location. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time in them because we were always busy looking at the wildlife!

Evarest Kabombe was excellent. He was a very careful driver, kept the Landcruiser spotless despite the endless dust and was always punctual. As a guide we don't think that he missed anything and his keenness and knowledge really made the trip for us. We felt sorry for him some days when he had to spend so many hours at the wheel but he always remained cheerful. He is a great credit to your company.

We plan to return to Tanzania to see the Southern Game Parks and perhaps visit Zanzibar. When do think is the best time to visit and what areas should we see? We would like Evarest to be our driver/guide again. Could this be arranged?

    Regards,
    Peter Clarke (Aug 2008)

    Hi Corina:

I just posted this message in Trip advisory and though you might want to read it. I will write a more lengthy report in a week or so and send it to you as well. I am also planning to write one about our experience at Bawe to send to the managers. Thanks so much for making this the trip of a life time!!!
    Kind regards!
    Mariola

We just came back from Tanzania few hours ago. I ma going to be without email address for a 2 weeks, but as pormissed I wanted everyone about our experience withTanzania Adventure. I am planning to write a lengthy report with plenty of details and tips to come soon. But in the mean time I wanted everyone to know that our experience with Tanzania adventure was GREAT!!! They were punctual in meeting us at every point. They cars and drivers were excellent. The accomodations were superb, all in their own style. We finally met Corina who felt like an old friend and was extremely helpful at all points. After the Safari we stayed in Bawe island ( 6Km from Zanzibar) and we were the ONLY GUEST in the 5 star private resort. The island, Corina suggestion, is of incredible natural beauty our foot prints were the only ones in the sand beach every day and I do not know how are we going to get used to not having 3 cheff and escort of help trying to fullfill every wish.
It was the trip of a lifetime!!!!

    ------------------------------

    Dear Corina,

It's been already two weeks since we got back from our Tanzania & Zanzibar trip, we enjoyed it tremendously. Return journey went on very smoothly no delay, we arrived back on time. Thank you so much for all the arrangement you have done for us. It was a fantastic holiday.
Hope we will do it again.
Thanks again for all you have done.

    Sachiko Ko (Aug 2008)

    Dear Corina,

nothing seemed to need improvement. Everything ran quite smoothly except that day that we got to Africa and were supposed to meet the first Tanzania Advernture representative, (forgot his name) to go over the itinerary he was about 2 hours late and we had no idea if he was coming still or what was going on…it was disconcerning and we were already a bit nerve wreaked having just gotten to Tanzania from California, USA.

    Heather and Ted (Oct 2008)

    -------------------------------

The three safari places were GREAT ! Nice people, comfortable rooms, good food.

Hebron was a FANTASTIC guide! I enjoyed learning the animals’ names and some Swahili words. Going a little more slowly through the parks would be the only recommendation for someone like me who likes to take it all in AND wants to look behind every branch and bush for animal life.

We didn’t include the Serengeti on our safari because of the number of days of our vacation and the number of hours needed to drive there and back. It would have been helpful to know that we could have flown one direction and driven the other. Everyone we met talked very positively about having been to the Serengeti.
I guess we’ll have to wait for a return trip!

Adele Sanders and Gary Amy (Oct 2008)

    ----------------------------------

Thank you all for a fabulous trip. We loved every minute of it and were sad to leave Tanzania!

I think your web site is fantastic. And the SAMPLE itineraries that you had listed – as well as all of the support information that you offer for planning the trip – choosing the hotels etc – is what made me feel comfortable in pursuing a relationship with you.

Then Corrina did an amazing job in being timely, responsive, and helpful with all of our inquiries and emails in planning the trip. As well as being very helpful and responsive to our needs and requests during the trip. It truly was a pleasure having her respond so upbeat and positive to any special accommodations we wanted to make to our itinerary during the trip.

    Thank you Corrina!
