Year 2007
Dear Corina,
Just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed our Safari / Zanzibar
holiday which you arranged for us.
The very wet conditions in the Serengeti and the problems this created
made it a real 'adventure' and we would like to record our personal
thanks to your driver / guide Melchiory who was excellent both in
his care for us and his knowledge of wildlife, birdlife and general
info on Tanzania. He worked extremely hard to ensure that we made
the Ikoma Bush Camp and when the vehicle became stuck he impressed
us by not standing and directing the helpful locals but by being
very actively involved in digging the vehicle out, waist deep in
the mud! We would recommend him to any of your future travellers.
We are also grateful to the staff amd manager at the Bush Camp for
the care provided during our stay again in difficult conditions,
they made us most welcome and comfortable and it was a real change
from the previous hotels. Having said this we also appreciated the
comforts of the various hotels and lodges particularly liking the
Moivara Coffee Lodge and E Unuto Retreat.
The transfers to Zanzibar with Air Excel were also a very good experience
and we really enjoyed both the Hakuna Majiwe lodge and the Dhow
Palace Hotel. Also thanks to our guide in Zanzibar, Ali Baba, for
his very good tour of Stone Town. Finally thank you for managing
to change the flights for our departure which we really appreciated
and meant that the holiday was not spoilt by a long layover in Nairobi.
With best wishes to all for the New Year from two very satisfied
customers,
Phil & Heather Woodcock (1.1.07)

Dear Corina,
I just wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASTIC
time on our safari! Thank you for everything you've done to help
make this dream come true. All of our accomodations were wonderful,
and of course our driver Loy Laizer was really amazing! He kept
us entertained and was able to show us all of the animals-including
all of the Big Five. It was incredible. Our drive through Ngorogoro
Crater was simply breathtaking as there were more animals than the
eye could see! When we got in the Serengeti the animals were spread
out much more, but Laizer has the eyes of a hawk and found all of
them! We also had the experience of meeting the people of the Maasai
Village, which I can only descibe as eye opening and fascinating.
Please make sure you tell him that we had a great time with him,
and for putting up with us (Im sure he thought we were pretty crazy
as there were a few incidents with insects=). I will also be emailing
him with some pictures we took together.
Also please thank Gibson again for me, for meeting
us in Arusha on our way back, to give me a stuffed animal that I
had left at the hotel on our first night. I know it seems silly
but that stuffed animal means a lot to me, and I thought I'd never
see it again. I was thrilled to know they found it and he was able
to bring it back to me.
The only thing that was less than ideal was that
we were the only single people at our lovely hotel on Zanzibar!
Three single ladies on the vacation of a lifetime in the midst of
all these romantic couples! Hahaha! I just hope we didnt disrupt
thier vacations. We had a great time at the great hotel there too,
with a room right in front of the gorgeous beach, and I was able
to go diving as well. Too bad we didnt get the chance to meet, but
thanks again for the trip of a lifetime!

Dear Corina,
I agree 100% with what Lynn has already said. It
was an amazing holiday
made even more special by the staff of Tanzania Adventure. Your
arrangements took away all our travel worries and your staff were
friendly,
but professional at all times.
Otis was very knowledgable and showed a great respect
for the wildlife he
was showing us, which certainly made so much of a difference to
me. He took
us away from the "busier" routes around the parks and
did not "chase"
animals, like some other companies did, when they clearly had had
enough
attention and wanted to be left alone.
I too would recommend Tanzania Adventures to my
friends.
Please let me know if you plan to venture into
holidays elsewhere.
Thank you again.
Kind Regards
Wanda (24.1.07)

Hi Corina,
Thanks for your mail, and ofcourse i will fill in the questionnaire,
sorry that i havent contacted you since my return from africa.
Everything was wonderful, we are very happy about your services
and we would like to make such a trip again.
After we arrived in cyprus a few days later my father had a mild
stroke, so i had to arrange a lot of things here in the hospital,.
it is unbelievable, first my mum had a stroke in november and now
my dad!! Anyway, it turned out ok, he is totally back to normal,
ok he has some medicines he has to take.
In the mean time i have put my pictures, at least some of them,
in picasa website, and i will sent you an invitation to have a look
at some pictures.
Anyway, i will stay in touch for sure.
Bye bye, marit (29.1.07)

Corina,
I just wanted to thank you for all of your efforts
in organizing our trip! We had a fantastic time, and everything
went as well as it could have for both the climb and the safari.
We were delighted with Gibson’s hospitality,
and his willingness to make some subtle adjustments along the way!
We also thought all the guides were excellent – Massi and
Godfrey on the mountain (as well as Richard the porter), and Melkior
on the safari.
We are already talking about ‘next time’,
and we just wanted to make sure you knew how much we appreciated
your help making it all happen!
All the best,
Eric (6.2.07)

Dear Ronny and the whole team of Tanzania-Adventure!
Back in cold and grey Switzerland, we are still dreaming of our
wonderful vacation in Tanzania and Zanzibar... Now, that we are
sorting out our pictures and swapping stories starting with: "do
you remember when..." it is hard to believe that paradise is
only a few hours away. We had an absolutely great time - and that
is thanks to YOU guys of Tanzania-Adventure! Everything was organised
and taken care of in such a professional way that we could totally
relax, sit back and just enjoy. The Lodges (especially E Unoto!)
were great and our stay at the Ikoma-Camp unforgettable! Please
send our thanks and best wishes also to the Ikoma-Team with Shabani
and all the others who made our stay there so pleasant (we will
never forget the hot shower in the tent and the cold beer by the
fire after the game drive!!!). Our walking tours with Fadhili and
his Masai friend at E Unoto as well as the one with Justin at Ngorongoro
were two of the highlights of our trip. It was enormously interesting
to hear about Masai living and culture while walking with them trough
their homelands - many thanks! We also enjoyed the Ocean Paradise
in Zanzibar very much! Thanks to Rashid's organisation we could
also do the Stone Town and the spice-tour without having booked
in advance. It was a great experience again and Abraham did a wonderful
job explaining all the spices to us and of course his wife, who
cooked the most tasteful and special lunch we had on the whole trip!
A very special thanks goes to PETER! For June and Dagmar he already
is an "old friend" as we had our second safari together
- with Johanna and Urs he definitely found two new friends from
Switzerland! It is just amazing how much Peter knows about all the
animals, the nature and the country and its culture. And he is a
great storyteller, too. Take care of him!
Please keep up your spirit and your great work! We will keep on
sending our friends to you....
Asante sana!
Dagmar, June, Johann & Urs (9.2.07)
P.S.
A CD with pictures of us with Peter, Abraham and the Ikoma-Team
will follow!

Hello Corina, we are happy to be home safely but
we absolutely loved every minute of our trip to your beautiful country.
We felt totally safe, we thought that all of the Tanzanian-Adventure
guides that assisted us were wonderful. Isdory, Abraham, Masud,
Abdul and anyone else that I have forgotten - they were all terrific
and we will be sure to tell all of our friends that we would highly
recommend your company. Thank you again for a very memorable vacation
and all that you did for us to make it "happen".
Respectfully yours,

Hello Corina,
Well, we're back now in Holland and it is not very pleasant to get
working again.
But, it has to be.
I still wanted to express my thank you very much for the trip that
we've done.
I think everything was very well organised: with Liza we had a great
driver, who wasn't making any troubles regarding our requests of
stopping at strange places, where no other tourists would stop.
I think, that he has never had to deal with 2 idiots like we are
(were): one long gamefrive from 5h45 in
the morning till 6h00 in the evening. And I thinkl that secretly
he did enjoy the trip with us.
We had a great trip and the upgrading to the tented camp was really
nice, thank you!!
However, we preferred the 4 nights in Seronera, being very basic
and in the midst of all action.
I will surely recommend you to friends, if they have plans of travelling
to Tanzania.
Take care and all the best,
harm (6.3.07)

Corina-
Sorry that we did not get to meet you in person. I should have taken
a quick trip to Zanzibar to see you and enjoy the countryside.
The opinion form was difficult to read and use so I will put some
comments below:
Travel Dates: 3-16 February, 2007
Accommodations: We enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent food at
the
Oasis Lodge the night before our trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro. We were
very happy with the spacious and relatively new North Face tents
that
we slept in for 7 nights on the flanks of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The night
after our trek, we stayed in the Impala Hotel which was in the
center of Arusha. The hotel was satisfactory, but without character,
but the meals were very good. The first night of the safari we
stayed at the E Unoto Retreat which is just outside Lake Manyara
and
run by a Maasai village. Everything about this place was great-the
setting, the individual bungalows, the food, and the service. The
second night we stayed at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge which was
pleasant with a great view into the crater, but very modern and
without character. The last two nights we stayed at the Ikoma Bush
Camp just outside Serengeti National Park. This camp was great with
very comfortable tents with toilets and showers, peaceful setting,
great food, and super staff. It was a great place to stay while
on
the safari.
Transportation: For the trek, we went to and from the trek in a
bus
with the rest of staff and supplies. The bus was more than
adequate. For the safari, we had a land cruiser which provided
plenty of room for the five of us, plus the guide/driver.
Guides: Godfrey and Aaron were our guides on the Kili trek and both
were great. The "pole pole" pace enabled us to acclimatize
and by
the summit day we were passing all of the other groups. Both were
very pleasant and knowledgeable and knew the mountain and everything
about it. Peter was our guide for the safari and he was great. He
was a very good driver (the driving conditions were not very good
because of recent heavy rains in the Serengeti), very knowledgeable
about wildlife including birds, and vegetation, and had the ability
to take us to see all of the major wildlife. He was a pleasure to
be
with.
General comments about Tanzania Adventure: Tanzania Adventure did
a
great job putting together a trip which included a trek up Mount
Kilimanjaro followed by a safari. Everything, including the
itinerary, accommodations, transportation, and guides, was
outstanding and we recommend them to anyone planning an adventure
to
Tanzania, including beach time at Zanzibar. It was obvious that
a
lot of effort went into planning our trip and everything was carried
out in a very professional, yet entertaining manner. Thanks to
everyone who made our trip a huge success!

Corina – from the moment you first emailed
me I felt comfortable with my choice. It is scary wiring thousands
of dollars to someone you don’t know in another country, but
you were always so quick to respond to all my questions that I felt
comfortable doing this. Also everyone we met with your firm, Gibson,
Frank, Alex & more were all just amazing. I didn’t have
to think at all, someone was always there for us – even changing
planes on the way to Zanzibar Gibson met us at the Arusha airport,
bought us soda and got our tickets organized for us. Thank you!
It really softened the blow of the cost of the whole trip and I
can say I’d do it again in a minute!

Dear Corina
I would like to thank you for a most fantastic organisation of our
trip.We
had a super time.
Can't fault a thing.
We arrived safely home yesterday morning . Just wanted to let you
know.
Please thank from me your co-workers : Lisa (spelling?) our driver
& guide
from Kilimanjaro airport to Ngorongoro to Marangu ; our guide in
Zanzibar
( did not catch his name); our driver in Zanzibar ( again did not
hear his
name). They were friendly and competent. Laizer's car could do with
a new
battery though!!
I will recommend your firm to my friends. Am about
to write a little story
of our journey and will slot in your e-mail address.
Keep well.
Bye

Dear Corina,
Hopefully you will hear from the boys themselves but I can only
tell you that Cody could not rave enough about Tanzania Adventure.
The accomodations, the food, their guide (Lucas?), the service...above
and beyond their expectations. Cody wonders what Lucas thought of
those 5 yakking Americans but they were so curious and all of them
knew that they were experiencing something so great and so special....never
to be repeated. I hope they made a good impression as to being very
respectful and appreciative Americans. We Americans have much to
apologize for with too much of the horrible things we do as a nation
but there are many of us who grieve our excess and our arrogance.
It is important to us that our son show other countries respect.
Cody's enthusiastic report has only made Bob and me all the more
excited about our upcoming trip in Aug. He loved all of the accomodations
and he wanted me to check with you that we will get to stay at the
Oasis and the Sopa Lodge. He also wants me to ask if we could have
two days on safari and an extra day in Zanzibar. He said they were
exhausted after two days of safari and thinks we could stand the
rest in Zanzibar.
Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of our son and his
friends.
Blessings,
Candi Larson

Hallo Ronny

Hi Ronny,
Thank you for your e-mail.
We are looking back on a very good trip to Tanzania, also due to
the good organization of Tanzania Adventure. Especially the driver/guide
in Arusha, Manzani was his name, did a very good job. We was very
friendly and helpful, he was really interested in nature and animals
and knew a lot about Tanzania. No complaints about the safari, we
saw numerous animals and all of the big five.
Mafia was also really nice, more the 'real' Tanzania than Arusha
and surroundings, due to the fact that there are way less tourists
there.
We really enjoyed the trip and it opened our eyes about Africa and
it's culture. It was very good!
Thank you for your services,

Hallo Ronny,
hat alles perfekt geklappt. Ich hatte es mir genauso vorgestellt.
Everest,
unser Fahrer hat einen super Job gemacht. Es war alles sehr individuell
und
bestens organisiert.
Beatrix

Dear Ronny
Just wanted to say a BIG thank you for arranging the trip for us.
We had a wonderful time . the little hick up in DAR was frustrating
but least we got the NBO in the end. Swissport will be getting a
visit from KQ after talking to my friends there !!!!!!
All the staff at your tented camp we met were professional and friendly,
and wonderful game viewing. I still cant believe in going to a place
in the middle of no where I met people near to us in Italy and people
who know the same people as me!!!
The lodge in Pemba was as expected remote and wonderful beach ,
was a pity it rained at times . The lodge is in the process upgrade,
so there were some minor problems, but to us was fine. Others got
a bit upset but then the unexpected its part of being in Africa
LOL!!
We very much enjoyed ourselves, hope we can come back soon
Very best regds

Hi Corina,
Thanks again for an amazing time in Tanzania!!!
We really had the best time of our life’s!!!
You really organised it very well and we thought
it was all just perfect- just what we needed.
Have to say our guide Melkiory really made it to
something extra special- he was wonderful!!!!
Many thanks again,
Rollo & Sara

Dear Ronny,
Having been back from our trip to Tanzania, I would
like to thank you very much the excellent organization of our four-day
safari in Manyara/Ngorongoro/Tarangire. It was really perfect and
we, with my wife, are very much satisfied. Our guide, Godfrey Evarister,
was great in everything: in driving, in finding hidden animals and
in explaining things. Thanks to him we have got an unforgettable
Tanzanian experience.
Many thanks again for all. I will strongly recommend
your company to anybody I meet preparing a trip to Tanzania, and
hopefully ourselves could also come back one day.
Very best wishes,

Corina, sorry it took me so long to get back to
you, been very busy at work.
Todd and I had a wonderful time. The only regret we have is being
stuck
at the Breezes resort for 5 days with nothing to do and not being
able to
see more of Stonetown which is an incredible place. Other than that,
we
loved the guides. Please feel free to give my email address to anyone
that
may have questions. To be honest with you, I had so many concerns
in the
beginning as I saw so many outfitters and didn't know which ones
were
ligetimate. At the time I was shopping around, I don't beleive there
was a
section on the website that provided testimonials or an option to
contact
previous clients. I know this would have been very useful, so yes
I think
it is great that you are providing that option to contact previous
clients.
Thanks again for a wonderful time.

Hi Corina:
I just posted this message in Trip advisory and
though you might want to read it. I will write a more lengthy report
in a week or so and send it to you as well. I am also planning to
write one about our experience at Bawe to send to the managers.
Thanks so much for making this the trip of a life time!!!
Kind regards!

Dear Ronny,
We have coming back from our holidays in Tanzania
and Kenya and I would like to send you my thanks for the great safaris
organised by you in Tanzania.
We had spent a fantastic time in tanzania in very
good lodges with a very nice and professional guide (Good Luck).
The lodges booked by your team only 1 week before our trip were
very nice and we cannot complain about anything regarding our stay
in Tanzania.
You can be sure that we will strongly recommend
Tanzania Adventure to people in the future.
Best regards.
