The Bougainvillea Lodge is located in the outskirts of Karatu, some 10 kms from the Ngorongoro main gate. Due to its location this simple but comfortable lodge is a great place for a stopover visiting Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater.

The lodge exists of 18 large, self contained cottages with comfortable twin beds or twin beds. Family rooms with interconnecting doors are available.

Each room is fitted with mosquito nets, hair dryer, hot and cold water, a verandah, and a fireplace!

The lodge also has a bar with a selection of soft drinks, south african wines, locan and international beers, and spirits. The restaurant offers lunch a la carte, and for dinner a buffet, which caters also for vegetarians.

The lovely garden atmosphere gives you plenty of room to relax.

From March 2008 the swimming pool will be completed.
