This short private safari covers the highlights of Tanzania with a 3 day tour to Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, and 4 days beach holiday in Zanzibar at the renown Ocean Paradise Resort on the East Coast of the island.

This itinerary starts at Kilimanjaro Airport, and ends at Zanzibar Airport.

Day 1: ARRIVAL You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by your guide and our representative. From there, we will take you to the Rivertrees Country Inn or Mountain Village Lodge (or similar lodging) in Arusha. Dinner is included.

Day 2: Lake Manyara
After breakfast we depart for to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and more. After the game drive you will proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Overnight at Manyara Serena Lodge or Kirurumu Tented Camp. All meals included.

Day 3: Ngorongoro After breakfast you descend inside the Ngorongoro Crater which has been declared as a World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra, hippo, flamingo, jackals, rhino, antelopes, as well as many species of bird.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (or similar) at Ngorongoro. All meals included.

Day 4: Ngorongoro -Zanzibar
After breakfast at your lodge, we will take you to Arusha Airport, for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar you will transfer to Ocean Paradise Resort. Breakfast and dinner included.

Stonetown and Spice Tour
On one of your beach days you will go on a guided tour. After breakfast transfer to Stonetown for our Historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace) and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques!

Afterwards you proceed to the famous Spice Plantations were we invite for an opulent lunch for you to taste the spices and fruits. . Afterwards you will do the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special Spice Tour with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After the tour we take you back to your hotel.

Days 5-7: Beach Hotel Zanzibar Relax and enjoy the East Coast of Zanzibar, and the surrounding area of the Ocean Paradise Resort. There are many watersports activities to get involved with. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 8: Departure
Morning of leisure until transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your departure

Please note: You can choose the option to visit the Serengeti instead of Lake Manyara, flying directly from the Serengeti to Zanzibar, please see this itinerary for more information and for additional costs.

We only organise private safaris, so only yourself and your travel partner(s) will be on the transfers, tours and in the safari vehicle! This means that your entire itinerary is flexible, including tour dates, destinations you visit, and activities you participate in.
