SAFINA ORPHANS SPORTS AND ARTS (SOSA)
Safina Orphanage in Dar es Salaam is a small
children center, and home to 11 boys and 5 girls between 5 years
to 15 years. The aim is give shelter, food, clothes and basic education
to the orphaned children, and especially to teach them sports and
arts.
OBJECTIVES
- To define and understand the socio economic
hardship facing orphans today and the impacts of that hardship
on the society as a whole.
- To find ways of dealing with that hardshirp
and to alleviating it.
- To create friendships and build a network
of support among orphans dealing wth these issues worldwide.
- To hold discussions - both public and
private - on the problems facing these orphans a specially to
provide orphans with bacic life essentials: food, clothing, shelter.
- To develop and promote the talent of
these orphans, with an emphasis on sports and the arts.
- To educate and create awareness of HIV
AIDS and other orphans problem in the the community at large.
- To enhance the sustainable economic and
commercial advancement of orphans by creating incombe generatine
projects.
WORK OF THE CENTER
Safina sports and arts is dealing with different hand craft designer
like carving, playing drum and dancing, drawing, batiking, music,
painting T-shirts and other work by using hand craft.
Safina orphanage can solve some small problems
of the center by some kind of sports like football, basketball and
netball. Safina also is dealing with country tours for guest or
members from abroad to show them some interesting activities from
inside of the country, like different national parks and other touristic
areas, in order to get some income for developing economic of the
center.
PLANNING OF THE CENTER
Safina Orphaned center plans to have more childrens, not only orphaned
but together with a street childrens who living in hard life and
poor condition and to try to help them atirist to get some good
eduction, and basic life without looking sex, male or female, tribal
or religion.
Safina plans to have a big culture center which going to keep and
to store is arts work safely, and also this culture center is going
to be the one of big ecomic of the project which can make Safina
to get money by using the hands craft and design.
SAFINA CULTURE CENTER
By using that culture center, Safina also can get the opportunities
to arrange the different big international arts exibition or arts
festival inside the country in order to help orphaned childrens
and support local and small project specially Safina orphaned sports
and arts.
